Avoiding tilt is the biggest thing to learn in my opinion. You should always try and stay cool and avoid making reckless decisions but this is easier said than done as i have learnt playing live over the years

Tilt is my biggest problem I think. I played a few hours yesterday and and I think I lost with AA three times, and a few times against players who just kept calling no matter what hand they had and what cards were on the table, and they always seemed to hit something on the river and take home the pot (usually big pots too).

When this happens I get the urge to move up a limit in order to "win back my money faster"... I did that yesterday, and luckily I was able to double up my buy-in within only a few hands, and then I left the table. I can't remember how many times I've done this though, and instead lost my entire buy-in and as a result gotten even further behind. This is something I have to work harder on. I have to be more disciplined and not make any stupid decisions after a few bad beats.

Some interesting points, definitely agree with players over estimating their ability after a few good results.I have thought I was progressing only to have a couple of reality checks against better players and it can really knock your confidence.

THIS. This a 100% - this.
I don't think tilting can be fully eliminated for everybody, but we need to keep within borders for sure. Especially bad when you are tilting in a place which has sidegames, casino and betting sections. If I'd tell tales about how bad you could tilt in a place like that... Oh, boy.
