Dan Colman thoroughly deserved to win the player of the year award and what a year he had. I was glad to read that Daniel Negreanu won the best ambassador award, congrats to all the winners

I have to agree that Colman had some brilliant results last year so deserved the player of the year award.Daniel Negreanu is always a good pro and Mark Newhouse deserved his award for his last couple of WSOP main event exploits.
There are way too many awards for nothing, LOL. I mean giving away statues for media content and media personality is a bit far out of the field of cardgames IMO but of course who am I to criticize these people and their decisions. CHARITABLE INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR is another category I cannot put anywhere.

This kind of thing is like the globs for hollywood, there is a show every year of globs, but others want to nomanete and congratulate people for what they do in the year, that you have like five or six show similar the globs, that maybe the same people win in the both shows, and others is more like, take this for your year, and desapear. And this is like that, is one show every year that give the players the credit, and some other shows similar but not good that give some awards to some people that they not do anything relevante, but is the world.

But there are plenty more serious 'sport' or recreational activity where they aren't do this. This 'patting each other on the back for nothing' is sooo Hollywood I cannot even begin to tell you how ridiculous...
