I was playing double or nothing on party poker.

One game i am in middle position with KK had one limper in front of me so i raised 4BB the others fold and the limper reraised so i shoved and we open cards and he had AA i am out first hand.

The other game i was on the button with A Ks had a few limpers before me and i decided to shoved the UTG called and the others folded we open cards aand again he had A A but this time i made a straight and won the hand. Smile Smile

Answering your question, is not bad and not good, this is what we call, bad beats, and because maybe you have played a few tournaments that hands make in your mind, and you think that one is good and other is bad, but when you play a lot of hands and tournaments you will not much atention on that kind of things because there will be a lot of things like that, so dont stress.
But yes one is a good thing and other is not, but keep playing, a long run you will see the win.

Enjou sun and life, keep playing safe.

When I first started playing I thought it was being sneaky and clever to limp with big hands but after finding myself in a multi-way pots and having to fold on a horrible board,or having aces cracked by the big blind getting lucky with 83 off or something similar,I soon changed that.

Isn't DoN all about staying out of trouble, and preventing situations where you're all in, early on?

While that's true in the main.... I'm not folding KK all-in in the early stages.

AK on the other hand... will be instantly mucked to any re-raise.

Dont forget that the ones on party poker are turbo with 4 min. blinds so if you dont increase you stack pretty early it become very difficult when the blinds are high cause the small stack will open their range and if you dont have the cards you are done.

IMO you have to take the opportunity when you have it. If its early or later but dont wait if you have it in the early stage cause it maybe wont come back.

Cheers yeah double or nothing is a great way to make money and build a bankroll as it is not that hard and the field is really soft so you could make money if you just play tight and choose good spot to be aggressive anyway, good luck with the double or nothing and hope you make money, you could play on pokerstars one as they are quicker and you could play more games per hours thus making mroe money and so on, cheer peace out!

Good thing that the second hand had different ending and evened things up.
Although you were behind in both of them you managed to win one.
Now imagine how the player with the aces getting cracked by your AK felt.
I bet you know Smile

Who in the world would muck KK in that spot (on 10-man DoN)?
