Another story of players that have money to spend and dont know stop or play poker, or in the maximum case is dronk Big Smile
But this tipe of storys we see all the time in some freerolls with rebuys, he entrer and buy some chips, lose all and get more, and when you see the player he get out of the tournament and even get the ITM, is sad maybe for her, but if we get ITM is good for us, more money in the "pot" to win Big Smile

Enjoy sun and life, keep playing safe.

that is realy creazy, but I have simular story... I played micro stakes cash game long time ago on pokerstars blinds were 1c/2c and there was player who shoves almoust evry single hand... and he have luck he menage to get my 2, or 3 buy ins, but I decided to stay at that table... He got so lucky that his stack was around 30$... That was amazing for 2$ max buy in... So luck started to leave him and he started to lose money... I did menage to get out of him like 12$, than he spended all, and keep rebuyin... He several times reache to 15 and more $ and lose all... he spended more than 50$ at that table... Waiting list was huge for that table... But when I made 12$ I decided to sit out and watch ( so I couldnt lose what I menage to earn ) that was preaty creazy...

Some people do strange things at the poker table,I've seen similar things happen quite often, especially on some micro stakes re-buy hyper games where players just keep shoving any cards right from the start even though the prizes on the final table are still quite small.Even if they do get a decent stack it is still no guarantee of winning more than you put in. To spend $170 for a chance to win $200 seems silly. But, do not bee too quick to dismiss this rebuying often play.

I can't pretend to understand rebuy tournament tactics well, but some of BRM's more successful players at this format, have mentioned that you should shove and rebuy often early on, until you've got a sizable stack, that carries you into the money/bink.

Once you've shoved a few times, the other players will give you crazy action, so it may make sense to rebuy quite a few times.

This might mean that on some individual tournaments you overspend, but averaged out over many such tournaments yield a great return...

I have no idea how far you should carry this tactic, and if $170/$200 is outside that range.

I have seen such players too. I have tagged a couple of them.
They are keep rebuying and rebuying and the only way to make a return after a point
is to win the game, in worst case scenario Smile Maybe they have much money to spend Smile
or just drunk.

Some players just get it. They forget that their rebuys may at some stage out value the prize that they may win, dos they get so focussed on trying to stay in the game on the basis that their luck must change at some stage....I say bring on more of these players, it leaves more prize for the rest of us.

You presume people are playing for the money (in which case it makes no sense) but an awful lot of players do not, and play for the gamble.

For instance, back in the days when I played and sat with $200 at a time, after a bad run I would often be found at the micro-stakes tables shoving all in to blow off steam.

Some are just gamblers

I keep seeing the same thing. It drives me nuts because I mostly refuse to rebuy and so when these donks knock me out it leaves me absolutely devastated. Once saw a guy rebuy $12 on the basic freeroll on 888, with a max prize under 10..... was just insane how he kept going all in with nothing hitting then losing it all the next and rebuying.
Really, if you wont even try to _play_ why bother entering? You may as well just go play slots.....

What icequeen have said, may be one of the reasons also.
Many drop in levels playing a complete lotto game just to blow up some steam.
I have seen that in omaha h/l games man times. One of them when a player asked why such play,
he explained the reason. I left the table immediately Smile since there was no point playing there any more.
