Online payment provider Optimal Payments, the company behind Neteller, has acquired Sentinel Topco Limited, the company behind Skrill. This developement leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Aww crap!

Wow yeah bad news they will get monopolies now and people will have no chance to use other well known ewallets, both was the biggest with skrill having an edge and i think they were the best and currently i have a skrill account verified but neteller cannot due to documents, no idea how that will chance now, anyway have fun but overall very bad news, good luck and keep us updated on the news mate, cheers peace out!

Lets see how things run from now on. The truth is each one of these e-wallets seemed concentrated on different public. Skrill was more on the games and bets side, while Neteller gave more attention to online stores and stuff like that. If both keep the way they are, there's no change for us users.

That is some big and bad news of course. When the two major players in any field become one,
Then it is never good i believe. Now they wont have any trouble raising their fees, which both of them have done already. But lets hope that from this move their services will improve. On sector that needs
improvement in both is customer support.

We Canadian dont have to care to much about this transaction since both of them dont want us as customer. I am playing on 3 sites now and i am using Echeck for deposit and cash out without any problem and free of charges on two of them. One think is that they dont use the same name.
One is Echeck one electronic transfer and the other is instant banking. But its all the same kind of transaction directly from you Bank account. Worship Worship

yeah well .i also post last time about ewallets some are disadvantage some are not its maybe the flow of the currency gets low and they need time to increase it sooner...

i don't see any negatives here really. one company bough other, so what- both brands will remain in use (there's no point in shutting any of them down). competition is gonna get tougher in the future with mobile payment solutions popping up like mushrooms after a good rain, it's not like they can afford raised transfer rates imho...

Hi mates.

Like fakiry said above, they have diferente publics, and for me i just have account in the skrill, i dont know anything from the netteller, but because we have not use any one of them, i dont know if its a good thing or not, but have one big company head on the market, some times they will get one more with diferent and new ideas to compete with them, and then will see if what was a good move or not, for now they will try to put balanced with they have now, so we not will see big moves or changes.

A good thing that may come up from this is internal transfers. If they allow transfers from
neteller to moneybookers and vice versa, it will help many moving their money around, when
there is only one option. And i dot find a reason why not implementing this, even with a fee.
