I realy dont have luck today... I lost 3 buy ins in cash game 5c/10c in just 20 min... First hand I had AK, I raised 30c he reraised 1$ so I shoved because I didnt belive he got aces, which he didnt he call me and show me KK... Thats first buy in... I decided to stay at table and played only 2 or 3 hands after that and I got again AK... and I raised again 30c and same player reraised me 1$.... totaly same situation!!! I said he could't get again in such short time aces or kings so I shove and he called... guess what he got KK... and thats my 2nd buy in... So I changed taable play couple of hands and I got KK got raise and call and action was on me... I decided to raise 1$ and both them call... flop comes T63 rainbow, and one of them raised like 2,50$, other one folded and action was on me... so I shoved, and he got 66... and thats my third buy in... all of that in 20 min, maybe less... I will take a break a little or I will explode how pissed I am!!!

Hi mate, it happens all the time so just make it up by taking a vacation and all will be ok , you will get back rested and ready to crush do not do like me, i tend to still play a lot when i am running bad and those accumulated tilt get the better of you in the end and you could end up losing all your roll in a few minutes. Anyway glad you took the decision to stop playing ,cheers peace out mate have fun and a good rest on vacation!

It's only 3 buy ins. That happens relatively often, even when you have a great winrate.

Are these the stakes you usually play? Or did you jump stakes, and that's why it hurts you more?
3 buyins should not upset you, even when it's only 20 minutes. You had great hands each time.

I would not qualify this as a downswing...

Why shove all in preflop with only AK, this is the biggest mistake when playing cash games... you clearly overplayed them if not you would have not lose your money so quick and so much too. Whereas the hand with KK there, well pretty very classic small pair hitting set in a threeway pot...

He re-raises to 1$ and you shove for 10$? I would just 4-bet the guy and let him make a mistake with worse hand.. Just saying. But in this case it doesn't matter.. same result, money would go in anyway. ul m8

A bit over aggro with AK. Yes, it is a good starting hand. But getting it in preflop with this hand will result in huge swings at best, and in cash games don't forget the rake. So even if you flip a lot of the time, you will be losing a lot of money to the poker room.

thats what I play in last time... and it happend a lot that I lose 3 buy ins in row, but never at such short amount of time...

I dont usualy shove preflop AK, but when I read player, and know that he is weaker than me, i do shove...like in this case, but i was wrong...

yup he raised 1$ I shoved for 10$... it was I think 9,70 not 10 but its close... I tought he will call my 4bet and after that he would put all in on flop no matter what, so I just skip few steps, and I tought I was ahead Sad

LOL its called variance and its not "invented" by pokersites, its just pure math. I dont get it, some people think AA or even AK should be 100% guarantee win for them Big Smile

Sthep shoving preflop with AK for full buyin when you have no read on opponent isnt good play in my opinion. Simply because most of the times you are just coinflipping against pair or you are way behind against KK or AA. Seriously, how many times somebody shoves with AQ or even worse If hes not shortstack?

And fact that you got outplayed with AK second time in same spot against same player in few hands, its just your stupidity (dont take it personally). You could save a lot of money with those AK hands if it wasnt played that aggresively.

You cant look at situations like "oh he cant have KK or AA again in just 3 hands". Ofcourse he can. Theres "only" 169 possible starting hands so it will happen occasionally. You have to play with factors you know, not with factor you pray for Blink

Shqt happens. But then again, so does shqt play. Maybe you should review how you played the hands that you lost and consider changing your style. Alternatively, continue doing the same and pop over to a table near to the rest of us and keep your losses in the family!

my gamplay depend on which players i am playing with, and I am not sure what you are saying in last sentence, but I hope I can answer it.... I am winning player, and I am playing poker since I was 14 y.o. and I hate when someone who is playing ABC poker comes and teach me how to play... I surpass ABC poker long time ago... By the way, I NEVER EVER deposit single $ on any poker site, and I have decent bankroll build from freerolls, and after that cash games... So when you say if I play that way I will lose, how can you be sure of that??? All you know is that I have AK and shoved with it... If I describe situation I was in than you should say it was good play or not....Because you didnt know how player that I was against played.... how many time he raised preflop, how often he CB, how often he fold to CB, how often he raise from button, and on what position was he... so you dont know anything about him and you say it was bad play to shove? Well done!!!

Just for curiousity what is your winrate on those limits and how big is your sample size?

And to be clear. I am not judging you that you are bad player or good player, and noone else does. We only spoke our opinion on those hands and how it was played and DESCRIBED by you. You justified those plays with "I didnt believe he had aces" or "he couldnt get aces or kings in such a short time". Those arguments are completely wrong. And thats how you decsribed your decisions.

If the villain was loose fish who was calling allins with 20% range, than you should write it and it would be more understandable shoves. But the way you described it, it was bad plays in my opinion.

I build acc to 120$ from those games 1c/2c, 2c/5c and 5c/10c, also from 100k privilage freerolls and other events... and thats only for almoust month and a half... I was broke before that, and again I had to freeroll, and I think its preaty impresive that only in month and a half I reached so high

Look he played preaty loose, he raise preaty often from evry single position, even I saw him few times he reraised preflop with KT and simular... He raised evry single button, and CB evry single raise he made preflop... he never reraised 1$ so that was fihy about it... he usualy reraise to 0,60$ that was first time he did reraise to 1$, but been so lose and preaty agressive, I didnt belive he had acees or kings, but I belive he had something like small or medium pair or even AJ or AQ, thats why I shoved... secnod time he had KK I didnt even put him on strong hand... I tought it was pure bluff...

This is the problem playing with loose or bluffer player you never know what they have and sometime you are getting a very big surprise cause even their quality of play is bad they can it very good hand like any poker player. I got a surprise like that last night against a real bluffer but this time it was not a bluff he had it straight on flop. Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!
