Posey sits out with hamstring tightness
SAN FRANCISCO -- A tight right hamstring kept Buster Posey out of the lineup for the second game in a row Wednesday, but the catcher said that he expects to play Friday when the Giants open a three-game series against the Phillies. The timing of Posey's rest coincides with Thursday's scheduled off-day, giving him additional opportunity to recover and prepare himself to return to action Friday. He said before Wednesday's series finale against the Mets that he would be available to pinch-hit if necessary.
