NYY: Luis Severino (1-2, 2.74 ERA), rated as the Yankees' No. 1 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, will make his fifth Major League start on Saturday at 7:10 p.m. ET. Severino is coming off his first Major League win on Aug. 22 vs. Cleveland, in which he held the Indians to a solo homer among three hits over six innings.

ATL: Atlanta will counter with Matt Wisler (5-4, 5.43 ERA), who allowed four home runs and lasted just 2 2/3 innings during Sunday's start at Wrigley Field. Wisler posted a 3.43 ERA through his first seven career starts, but he has produced a 9.13 ERA in the five starts that have followed .

MIL: Zach Davies, 22, will make his Major League debut when the series continues Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. CT. Davies, acquired in the July 31 trade with the Orioles for outfielder Gerardo Parra, joined the Brewers' system as its No. 11 prospect, according to MLBPipeline.com's rankings, and is the second player acquired in a July trade (with outfielder Domingo Santana) to make it to Milwaukee.

CHW: Jeff Samardzija puts August in the rear view mirror as he makes his first start of September. Samardzija is 3-1 with a 5.12 ERA lifetime against the Twins. He is coming off a month of August in which he lost all six starts and had an 8.82 ERA.

MIN: The Twins will send Kyle Gibson to the mound for the finale of the three-game series, beginning at 12:10 p.m. CT. Gibson is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA in 16 innings pitched against the White Sox this season, and he is coming off a scoreless outing against the Astros.

SD: San Diego will send Tyson Ross to the mound for the third game of a four-game series against the Dodgers. Ross (10-9 , 3.27 ERA), last faced the Dodgers on April 7, when he took a no-decision, allowing two runs on six hits through six innings.

He last pitched at Comerica Park on the day he was traded to the Rays, July 14, 2014.

NYY: The Yankees will send Michael Pineda to the mound Monday for the first of a three-game set with the Orioles, with first pitch set for 1:05 ET at Yankee Stadium. Pineda is looking for his 11th win of the season and his fourth career win against the Orioles. On May 10, in a career-best performance, Pineda racked up 16 strikeouts against the O's. In his last outing in Boston, Pineda got the win after allowing one run with seven strikeouts over seven innings.

NYM: New York opens a pivotal three-game set at Washington, which is in second place in the NL East, on Monday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Jonathon Niese (8-10, 4.17 ERA) gets the ball for the Mets, while Max Scherzer (11-11, 2.89 ERA) goes for the Nationals.

FLA: The Marlins open a three-game set on Monday with the Brewers at 1:10 p.m. ET. Rookie left-hander Justin Nicolino (3-2, 3.07) will make his eighth big league start. Milwaukee is going with right-hander Zach Davies (0-0, 8.31).

SEA: Right-hander Taijuan Walker (10-7, 4.51 ERA) takes the mound against the Rangers for the third time this season in the second game of a four-game series on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. PT at Safeco Field. WAS: They have the day off on Thursday and then play a three-game series against the Marlins at Marlins Park starting Friday night at 7:10 p.m. ET. Left-hander Gio Gonzalez makes the start in the first game. A native of Hialeah, Fla., Gonzalez has made only three regular-season starts in Miami and is 6-3 with a 2.44 ERA in nine games against the Marlins.
