Yesterday ....... Oh I couldn't be bothered with it!
KKvQQ? It's not KKvQQ it was KK v AQ (that's even worse I hear you scream!) What are the odds? Well, pre flop the KK is almost 3-1 favourite. However, don't forget this means there is still a chance for AQ.
When the flop arrives, wowser, KKK v AQQ. What are the odds? Wowser again, the KKK is now 98%, but remember the QQ still has a chance.
The turn brings a Q. This hardly makes a difference, but remember, the Q still has a chance. It doesn't help that you are now both all in cos its now down to the roll of the cards, and not any gambling skill.
When the river floats along the final Q, well, that 2% chance has just paid off.
Unlucky. It's nothing to do with how you played on this occasion, simply the run of the cards.
It's pretty tough but hey. That's probability for ya!
