I dont know where you got your stats for the aces but i would take A A for 500,000 hands and i guarantee you that i will be a winning poker player. If you are loosing all your A A then you are a very unlucky guy and i think you should quit playing poker. And dont try to change site it will be the same. Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

Hi John,

Is that realy true? Wow thats wierd. It would be Nice if you could win those hands but jokerstars is allways there for a "unexpected" turn.. most of all not in your advantage..
Most of the time you will lose against the russians with the typical way of playing seriously bad cards..

I stopped playing jokerstars, but is and will be one of the best pokerrooms..

May the luck be with you next time you got AA-KK Blink

Hehehe ikr! For a long time I believed the PS RNG hated me, then a coach asked me how that is possible because the RNG is not alive so how can it have emotions. Logic is all it takes to shatter a perfectly good illusion. =)

I'm a fairly superstitions poker player, for example one of my biggest peeves with online poker is that I never get to cut a deck. Not so much that it prevents cheating, although you can't help but wonder why you can't cut the deck, but I believe it's lucky where you split the deck. There are many others but you get my point...

When I read you sayng that "you know you are done for" it sounds to me like your intuition/spidey sense/gut feeling/call it what you like but if you _know_ you will lose then I would think that you will fold. Superstitions aside your gut feeling apparently, I'm no psychologist, comes from your experience so perhaps you are subconsciously picking up on tells or something abouit this spot is wrong. Just fold! Wait for a spot where you at least feel you have a winning chance.

Playing AA HU will only win 85% of the time, against any other pocket pair you may lose as much as 20% of the time. If any pocket pair has a 20% chance of beating your bullets then you can imagine what your odds are going up against several smaller pairs multi-handed. Against only 3 opponents with pockets we have a coin flip, any more and you have less than 50/50 chance to win.

With these odds in mind I don't think it is very productive to simply look at AA without any perspective over 500K hands as it won't tell you anything. What are the stats for heads up compared to multi-handed. What is the outcome from each different position, what action was there.before and afterl What we are trying to do is to narrow down the circumstances and find the leaks. What exactly is affecting this bottom line of yours and is it something you can avoid?

To be fair you should also look at the stats for when you come up against aces. It would be fun to see how often you suck out on them yourself but again lets be productive. How did our opponents play their hand, can we spot any tells, are there plays we can adapt to our game. Stats are very useful when in context but it is important to remember that the purpose of keeping records, doing hand review or asking others to comment on your hands is so that we can improve our game.

As a final note, now that you have had time to "un-tilt" =) if you only take one thing from this. People don't want to hear your whining so stop using forums to complain about bad beats instead be cheerful lets share our love for the game. If you have trouble with a hand then bring it for review and you will find responses of a similarly pleasant tone.
