Wellll ladies and germs would u take the gamble? Well i did. So tonight ive been playin zoom. Up about 60$ in a lil more then an hour. Cashing out every double up and starting over then this hand comes......

I knew the guy that raised allin has AA. I kmew the other guy had me crushed as well. But also knew if i hit my hand id triple up for nice pot...here are the results. Before calling me a donk remember im joe the gambler and play for the joy not the money and would not have sulked if losing.

LOL you got lucky there, but for sure 99 isnt calling hand when there is shove and a call... in zoom you can never know if he gots aces, or AK or strong pair when someone shoves... so it is to you, will you call with strong pair or not... I would call all in there with KK. Maybe, but just maybe when there is only one shove and if he shoved from button, or from blinds, I would reconsider calling it even with AK...ofcourse stack size will effect my decision also Blink

------------
but I dont play zoom played little after promotion and lost a lot of money, and than decided to quit it Blink

nice one
QUADS , i am pretty sure you hoped for both having AK or you just don't care about the money and wanted to gamble
because no one believe their opponent having AA and calls
anyway it worked out for you
it seems like the streak is going strong
maybe soon you will be looking at 4 figures bankroll
good luck in your journey
PS : hope you got the money i sent you , i know you don't care about it but i promised to send it back and i did

With to all-in in front i would not have called, but like you said you are a gambler and this time the gamble was on your side hitting a quad on the flop. Very nice pot congratulations gambler. Big Smile Big Smile

Believe it or not i was almost positive he had AA and didnt really think about second guy...after he pushed i thought "yeah hes got aces" then other guy pushes and i thought "meh f it" lol definitely not a good play at all but for me liking to gamble and poker being as random as it is i figured id giver a go.
I ussually dont play rush eather but when i do i dont find AK to be a very strong hand ill play it but definitely prefer pairs.
Yup sure did skp u really didnt havta send any money but thank you Smile

...I don't know if I'd ever say I knew someone had a particular pair of cards for SURE,...but a lot of times your gut feeling is TOtally correct,...and if you go against it,... Angry ....well,...you know how it goes....!

...Had a good hand go my way the other day all in with about 4 or 5 takers.... Got quad 5s by the turn and KILLED it...!!! Big Smile

Probably should folded in that spot, but I'm not in a position to pass judgment on that one being somewhat of a gambler myself.
I agree a lot with what you say about being a gambler and not a donk.
As predominately a tournament player I am one to often get called out for being a this or that but I often will take a chance thinking I'm behind (mabee 40%) if I see an opportunity to go from struggling in a game to being table/tournament chip leader and in a dominating position where I can control the table. As a result of me taking chances like that I probably cash in less tournaments than a solid player, but I never minimum cash and usually make the top 3 when I do cash.

That being said I can justify them sorts of calls if I'm struggling in a tournament, but when it comes to cash game i can't see it being a profitable play in he long run.
And that said if I was calling two all ins a mid pocket pair would be way to far behind vs even just one over pair, I'd rather be calling with 2 live cards suited and connected say 8h10h than a pocket pair. But once again I'm thinking of tournament play, and only if I am in a position where I felt I was loosing to much ground in a tournament and needed to get lucky to stay in the tournament with a decent stack.

If I was rich I might consider it or in a tournament if I had plenty of chips but with 99 as a hand probably not,if I had a suited connector I might take a gamble but against 2 hands that you are sure are decent I think 99 is not great....saying that it is always good to have a gamble, especially when you are on a hot streak. Smile

nah i would not if he has AA even if i have KK but if ever i have to go up against AA in any hands i would definitely wish i have KK but see this paradox lol, with information i would not go all in and without i would lol, anyway good luck at the tables hope you have more AA with you rather than against you it always make the decisions so much easier cheers mate good luck again me off for some rest and then some tv then work tomorrow!

I would never call no matter what hand i am having. That for preflop play of course.
Why call when you know you are already behind risking your whole roll on the table?
If it was after flop that is another story.

would i go all-in knowing my opponent has aces? depends- if i have 2 chips left since i am in the bb and remaining of the chips were eaten by the blinds, then yeah for sure- i would call with any 2 cards then. also if i am over-rolled and and i need to call say 1-2 bb, since small stack went all-in, then why not, especially if i am running hot.
also if i see some babe running low and she offers me a bj if i send a few chips her way...

I guess u can consider me low stacked. Since It was only 5$ i was more then happy to lose it for the chance of trippling up and the gamble. As everyone said above its definitely the wrong play but it was actually the right play because i won Smile . I wouldnt take the gamble all the time but sometimes u just gotta go with your gut. Im a gambler so this decision came alot easier to me then it would most ppl for sure. Anyways folks thanks for weighin in
Til next time i make a crazy but gold decision Cool

Well done arsenej1

Sometimes the best play is the craziest, the most courageous, the most daring, the most audacious Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
I just don´t have your pair of steel balls so i won´t go all-in against AA Confused Confused

BUT THE BEST PLAY IS THE ONE THAT GIVES YOU THE WIN Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Don´t forget to be happy and enjoy life

I ran into these kinda setups all the time - of course more or less I know before the flop arrives that I will be behind from the getgo, so no surprise could throw me off my rythm, but I usually call these with suited connectors rather than mid-pairs. Sometimes I win, but I barely play Zoom so my situations are a bit different.

it depends on chip stock and how aggressive a player is,i would prefer to call than losing with blinds .aa is only powerful at preflop but 2 players call it will reduced it percentage and put it to a badbeat.have fun guys... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

It really all depends on a whole load of factors within the hand and game involved. On the information you provide it is a real and true gamble, worth it if you don't mind losing, but not sustainable in the long term. It's interesting how you seek to distinguish gambling from being a Donk!

If i covered their stack and i was on pokerstars or full tilt poker in position i would because 80 percent of my allin aces preflop have been beat0n

Lol u can call it donk as well. I called kt a gamble because i thought he had AA and figured other guy was beating me as well. But if i won the hand id tripple up if not i lose one buyin. So i liked the gamble
