If you really want safe and reliable option then you should go with the Comodo Dragon. Safari is better optimized to run on OSX, besides no browser will give you malicious spywares by itself only if you allowing them to do it...

...Call me old fashioned maybe,...but I've tried those and other browsers,...and I always prefer to come back to my Internet Explorer...!

I've got AVG, SpyBot Search and Destroy, and another goody called 'Everything', which you can use to remove ANYTHING wanted or unwanted that gets in there...! Thumbs Up

It all works fine for me,...never really had any problems...! Smile

Didnt even know that the browser bowie mentioned existed.
I am mostly using firefox and chrome. Didnt have any problems with IE as a browser, besides the
fact it is slow i my pc. If it was faster i would still be using it.

It's mainly for users who already having other Comodo products on their CPU - especially their free and (IMO) very reliable firewall. But you could download it just the browser from their website.
It's chromium based, so many of you will saying that it looks and acts just like Google Chrome, except this ones traffic does not goes through all those Google servers (which registers your user habit etc.) to begin with but completely expandable with all those customs you used to - besides it will try to give you many safety options other browsers won't - but it won't push you to use them at all.

I mainly using Mozilla nowadays 'cuz my habits, but if I could recommend one browser to those who don't want to go with Google Chrome, but still want to use Google Play every day then it would be the Comodo Dragon.

I took the time to download and install that browser to see if there is any difference.
It is indeed same as chrome, but i didnt notice any difference in speed.

The only thing that i noticed though, was that after coming into the BRM site,
they had hijacked somehow all their advertisements.
There were no BRM ads at all, and in their place there were all sorts of other ads.
Is such a move legal i wonder.

Turn off all addons in it and look again. Hijacking ads is omething usually adwares/viruses do besides goodle adsense will always personalize your ads on their boards.

You were right. It was the PrivDog extension. Disabled it and now the BRM ads appear normally.

Then it's harmless. Privdog is something you could live without of course.
U know I only used this as a Chrome alternative 'cuz I have an ongoing love/hate relationship issue with that but I still needed Google Play back then 4 something.
Comodo products usually does not let down me that often so that is why I brought it up.

They are making too many bull with chrome pretty often
One major for me was the removal of the go button. Why i never understood.
Like it is a button that it is useless and it stands ion the way of others that can be in its place.

The couple of last days i am having a problem with flash content, keep getting a warning
and if you follow the link it says the support ends soon for it and there will be another kind
of version or something. Too techy for me Smile

Well, never click nor install anything (including flash) when you are unable to identify the source of that software or you downloaded is from 3rd party websites and contains unnecessary things (toolbars mostly).
But the message could very well be caused by the fact that not so long ago they introduced the third flash player (before that there was one needed for IE - often called Active X - and another - different one - for Mozilla/Chrome to be able to view flash based contents succesfully).
Now they took apart every one of them, so you need to install a different one for IE (ActiveX), a different one for Mozilla Firefox (NPAPI) and a third one for Chrome/Opera (PPAPI). This might be your issue as well, but I cannot tell that based on what you wrote above.

I believe you are right. While i didnt take a screenshot (i should have)
when i clicked on the link and read it, it was saying about what you are mentioning here.
PPAPI and NPAPI and that one of these 2 will stop working permanently before the end of the year.

They were proposing a workaround solution for this till the permanent changes, but both times,
reloading the page 2-3 times solved it and worked normal.
