Playing a $50 freeroll on Coral (ipoker) Pays 15 places. as you will be aware i'm trying to build a bankroll from these so anycash is good. Its a hyper turbo - and have had no hands really so just managed to survie by stealing dead money pre flop really.

Got to blinds being 500/1000 with 100 ante- with a stack of 2k. 18players remain. Get dealt pocket 3's on the button. player UTG+1 calls- An under raise all in to 1.5k - other table theres a 3 way all in aswell. I tank to see the outcome- the double/treble up would be nice but i want to make the money?

I call- my time bank runs out and i can't see whats happening with the all in. I end up v A9 and V AK the A9 hits and takes.

I finish 17th.

Do i just fold into the money here?

How you allow yourself to fall to 2 BB O.o when you are under T you must shove any strong hand preflop...

Yup not hard in hypers....one turn around an blinds can go up twice n u not get a hand....let alone u probably started off short handed as well

its been exciting to play other pokersite for adventure but it seems its hard to decide wether you fold or call your hand ,on a regular noted pokersites they usually fold and push next hand but thats not sounds pretty win, reading card hand might work for that decision i guess Thumbs Up

I think what StheP says has some truth especially in hyper-turbo's you get down to around 10bb, find a spot and shove, in a normal game and close to the money, fold can be an option, you are reducing significant your chances of actually winning the tournament and resigning yourself to min cash only.

gl all mobsters, 3P out.

...I always love to see the bubble boneheads allow greed or their bully mentality to cloud their minds and try to out scare or bully folks off the pot AT or right near the Bubble...! Thumbs Up

...It FAR more profitable in the long run to just let it go...! I've been watching and experiencing this bubble b******t for a few years,...and I guarantee you,...MOST of the time YOU will be destroyed, or knocked out...!

ONLY if I'm the BIG stack in the hand and cannot be knocked out AT the Bubble will I play THAT stupid game... Smile

...of course,...once on the OTHER side of the bubble,...then it's game on...! Dollar

Hi mate.

First - In any tournament, freerolls or with buy.in, stay with 2k of chips in a deep stage on the tournament is wrong, yes we know that you are trying to win some cash to build bank, and you want to make maybe the 15th, but you have to play with some risk, and try to get some chips before you are in that position and became the bubble or near that positions.
Second - With your postion and chips in any tournament you have to see in the time bank who they are in the other table to see if they are with less chips them you or if they are out and you can get the ITM.
Last - Call in that stage of the tournament with pocket 3's is not a good thing, for me, but you have to see before you play who the other players do.

Keep the run and building a bankroll.

It happens mate sometimes you will do the right thing and sometimes you will do the stupid thing but if you work hard enough you will spot where there is problem and you can then adjust and then you can make money, poker is ever changing and if you lack behind then you gonna start losing and all, anyway good luck mate at the tables hope you do better or improve there is always room for it , cheers peace out mate!

I agree with a couple of the others that in a hyper it is very dangerous to have the intention of just making a min cash.
Things change so quickly before you know it you can be down to a couple of BB and being that short even if you get a good hand you are likely to be called by more than one opponent. In a tournament with 8 or 10 minute levels being the short stack is not too bad but I hate approaching the bubble in fast tournaments with only a few BB.
Also a top 3 finish,or winning,a tournament more than make up for the times you sacrifice a min cash. Smile

It is a freeroll. And a turbo one. So even if you were waiting for someone else to bust
in order to get paid. it might had the same result.
Unless you have the blinds for at least more turns, in such a situation,
you go all in with a good hand Smileo
