Blatter is out – Bet on next FIFA President here!

Wauv. A lot has been going on in FIFA these days, where seven members were arrested while Sepp Blatter yet again was elected as president for the controversial organization. Yesterday Sepp Blatter announced that he resigned from the President of FIFA, and that means, the world has to vote for another FIFA President. Bet on the next FIFA President here ---> We’ve taken a look a[...]   Read more » Blatter is out – Bet on next FIFA President here!

Probably going to be that Aladdin guy from Saudi-Arabia or Asterix from the UEFA but nevertheless it does not matter who is sitting on the 'throne' until the 'kingdom' is populated by the same peasants who were rooting 4 Blatter the whole time and re-elected him by 2/3 of all the votes.

Thank god, that this guy has finally left the stage (hopefully forever, but I would not bet on it). Sepp Blatter and his corrupt clique destoyed a lot of good fait of many football fans around the world. Let us hope the system will change as well!

the first I saw that guy, I instantly know he was not someone you can trust. he was just a comedian that would fit perfectly in politics

This is totally true: what he said and did throughout his so called carreer really felt like comedy, although he meant every word he said. One German comedy show did make fun of him by just showing an interview as it was.

i love football, but honestly i don't give a sh1t who is the president of fifa, uefa or sh1tfa. i just enjoy seeing attacking football with lots of goal and that's that.
oh btw as if new president will be clean like crystal... we're talking huge amounts of cash here, and where there is huge cash- there are huge boobs to be squeezed

Why is it that everyone has known FIFA is corrupt for 20/30 years but all that time politicians, journalists(though not all),business,TV have all been kissing FIFAs arse but now it is all "oh dear,we must change" and pretend shock and outrage.
I suspect Blatter will have his fingers prised from the edge power by the FBI sooner than he hopes but we are still left with a voting system which is corrupt so the power will still be in the wrong hands.

They're all unpresentable the FIFA tired of these thieves steal
And the next thing comes not think it best, when he sees that the cake is big is going to want to take a part for your home and all
Would have to vote to Ali Baba that only comes with 40 thieves

FIFA can't be tired of these 'thieves' since the whole place was set up and run by these 'thieves' ages ago. Corruption for them is a good thing if nobody knows about it and these money launderings and occasional sponsoring 'kickbacks' are honestly present on every big volume sport event. Nothing new here. The remaining members just as awful as their leadership was.

ahahah

This is a news that never be outside, if anyone give a s**t about the corruption there, but someone told some one what happens there so we have this.
For me after see the case and the public storys and things about the election, my bet goes to Luis Figo, and why, ask you, because is portuguese and if there is corruption there maybe i gets some partnership to portugal Tongue, but now out of joke, my bet goes to Luis Figo because is a men that can give FIFA a new revolution and give some things to football.

These news articles, op-eds, investigations... it will all go away for a time and when the new regime will have enough $hit on their hands they will get the same treatment from their pears just like the current ones.
It will be like a neverending story where the villain's role is on rotation every time.

I also would not care about who is the fifa president, but as a football fan it is really hard to see all the corruption, because these guys are earning their money with us - the fans of this sport by for example watching the world cup.

All the better. This would be the first organization where I can be totally sure where does my money went exactly.

OK there is a lot of intransparency in many organization and even corruption in some of them. But I do not know any other organization where everybody knows that it is totally corrupt from top to bottom and no one can do anything about it.

I truely hope you are right about your guess concerning Luis Figo. I think he would be a very good fifa president. But the most important thing is, that someone out of the uefa gets the job. There are many good candidates fot that.

I can list you some well known world health or cancer charities with 80-85% overhead, some non-profits - like the NFL - where money laundering is completely okay and some 'likeable' and 'popular' eastern european goverments where transparency is just another unknown foreign word in their dictionaries. So there are many organizations where everybody knows they are rotten like a dead fish but nobody is doing anything about it. It's just life. $hit happens.

OK mate you are right, that such organizations do exist not to talk of some eastern european goverments. As I can see in your profile, you are from Hungary. It is not an offen offence, but I guess you know more about it. Blink

It's not offensive at all, yeah the lack of transparency became a sport of some sort in my country. This is why I don't get my hopes up when the new pres arrives to the top of FIFA. He has just as many hungry mouths to feed as the previous one.

FIFA- Fcukin Idiots and Fcukin A55holes... what can you expect from organization with such a name... surely only crystal clear reputation and absolute transparency. what i personally don't like about fifa is their stupid voting system where major football countries cannot influence most important decisions on their own... they always have to rely on north korea, tanzania and such...
