SNG strategy  +1
I am a player who used to be a winning SNG/MTT player and am no longer a winning SNG/MTT player due to:

1) The laziness factor, the game moved on and I didn't.
2) I stopped playing them and am playing MTT FR's or DYM's (to clear points).
I am turning on average $150 profit a month playing evenings only.

What would be your one piece advice to my regarding SNG's?
What would be the one url you suggest I read to get better at SNG's again?

------------
Edit:

A little bit about my style, I am very TAG. I don't play many hands but when I do the money tends to end up all in. I know I am too tight but I invariably have failed in making myself looser. I min cash FR's a LOT but rarely go deep.

This basic start strategy is very good, TAG is the way to go wether its SNG or MTT both good.
Only thing is that you problably love to much min-cashes in MTTs, remember that you only need 1 deep run to win from let say 20 min cashes and the deep run doesnt have to be a win, it can be just a final table in a multi runner MTT.
So get rid of the min cashes and put in a little bit more risk, try to see spots were you can pickup huge blinds with just cards like J6o/38s ect.
If you bust sometimes its ok cos you have more deeper runs not just a min cash, have faith and be patient the deep run will come it cost you some time.
Dont let your eye to much on the players base at bubble time, with just 5 or 6 BB dont fold itm and get busted 2sec itm and cheer with that min cash, no see the spot and jam you double or bust or pick up huge blinds.

Hope it helps Agree

well basic strategy for sng is chill in begining, play only premium hands, and when blinds come to 75/150 than try to steal sometimes blinds, and also your range should be bigger, you should play button with almoust any cards, try to bluff more, and thats about it...

IceQueenAce. In agreeing with the above advice, I think the key is knowing when to switch from your starting style to one that is a little looser and such that you are exploiting players like yourself, who remain tight too long. Use this particularly as you lead up to the bubble as others won't want to busto pre bubble, so exploit them. You will lose out on occasion but you have to play the averages to win in the long term.

Good luck see you around sometime!

Yeah it can happens that even good players becomes bad not because they became bad or that they are not playing well, more likely they got left behind by time and the new strategies coming out and they failed to adapt to those new things, anyway good luck hope you keep improving so you are not left behind and good luck at the tables hope you do well do post your progress and we can see how you doing mate cheers peace out!

Well, I pretty much make that from either freerolls or bonus'.

With rake I break even and it is the bonus' that gives me the profit. I am on about 20 sites, I fire up the clients with the best promos at any time (usually 4 max but sometimes more at Christmas etc) and play TAG on all. I usually pick the best one to concentrate on and just tile the rest for little thought process.

I know I have made more profit in the past and I know I have got lazy and stopped reading strategy etc, and stopped playing games that risk my own money.

I feel I need to stop being lazy and get better

IMO there are two things in poker Skill and luck if one of them is missing sure you will be a losing untill the luck come back. You are probably in a bad stretch but why dont try one once in a while just to see. Thumbs Up

Maybe its the bonus hunting and site jumping thats hurting u. Why not pick a site and stick around to get a feel for the competition? Lots of people are profiting without bonus hunting and im sure u can too.
