2015 WSOP: Travis Baker Wins EVENT #40: $1,000 buy-in Seniors Championship (No-Limit Hold'em)

Travis Baker, a 50-year-old construction manager from Tulsa, Oklahoma is the winner of the $1,000 buy-in Seniors Championship No-Limit Hold'em after four intensive days of play. Many congratulations to Travis Baker on winning this event and the first prize of $613,466. This guy beat a field of over 4,000 entries so deserves every penny of his win

This $1,000 is for undoubtly the first objetive of many young online players nowadays, who think about giving a chance to a real tourney. It's not that expensive (although $1,000 is already big money for those who play $5 and $10 buy-in tourneys) and the return is enormous. this field is each time bigger and bigger and i believe one day it will be limited to a top (if it isn't already, i'm not that informed). Surviving a 4,000 players' field is already an achievement for a rookie, but winning is the cherry on the top of the cake. Congrats for making all of us dream a little bit more, Travis!

A great result for an amateur and a massive payday to go with his first bracelet. He does have some experience though and has cashed quite a few times, though winning 600k is massive to his 35k lifetime winnings.
Just shows we just need to keep trying and maybe one day.......

Congratulations to the winner, as they say beginner's luck I touch havia not having played any WSOP and play for the first time and win the bracelet that if luck.

Funny that this was one of the popular events out of the rest on this year's WSOP. Never realized that many fiftyplus old guys are playing cards not just as a hobby but for a living too. The guy deserved the title, he was pretty good especially when it counted the most.
