players with short stacks are looking to double up or go home. Phil Galfond finds himself in that situation when a short stack is all in for 3,450. He calls with Ac8c and is slightly ahead of the KsQd his opponent holds.
The flop is Kh9c7h, giving Galfond's opponent a pair of kings. There's always a sweat though, or at least it often appears that way, and the turn card is 10c the ultimate sweat card, the . Galfond now has the nut flush draw, an open ended-straight draw, and not to mention the three aces in the deck that would give him a better pair.
The river is the 7s, however, and the short-stacked player lets out a sigh of relief not quite believing he faded all of those outs. Galfond still sits with a respectable stack as play enters the last few minutes of the night.

A bit absurd that this hobby player leads in the chipcount yet a seasoned pro like Seidel already packed up and left. Honestly would surprise me if he could get on the Final Table but it seems to me he is on a roll right now.

Good to see the main event starting.Congrats to the chip leader but there is such a long way to go.On day 1b and a few other big names have gone like Scott Siever,Dan Smith,Katchalov and Steve O'Dwyer.
