Is this some interesting kind of research to see if people who play poker are more or less likely to believe in an almighty power? Poker players have to feel in control... So I personally feel that a higher percentage of poker players than non-poker players will not believe....

I belive in God, and without disrespect, I would say that anyone that doesnt belive in God, or something simular is fool... Again without disrespect... I respect evryone belives, and I expect for others to do the same... I am orthodox religion, and I belive in Holy trinity ( Father, Son and Holy spirit, as one... God)

Why would not believing in something without any evidence make you a "fool"? You could much more easily make an argument for the opposite, could you not?
I mean "not believing" would make you rational rather than a fool.

Than explain me creation of universe, and how is posible to be in infinity, and what was before time or begining of universe, and much more that only can be explained by existence of God, and also think about life how much is compicated, and evry little thing, and you think that that was just some coincidense.... I cannot explain you all, and I dont want to go in argument with atheist, that dont belive in God, so I'll stop here, and I will not post anymore in this thread

I voted no, but let me elaborate on what i mean i dont believe in organized religion, those fukc charge for everything weddings, baptism, u want to light a candle u have to pay for it, always leave money on the icons, pay pay pay, and they dont pay any tax`s even dou they all receive pensions once they retire, its a scam along with the government to keep the people in line and in control, doesn't the bible say money is the root of all evil, and also that god is everywhere in every stone, rock river, lake, mountain, why do i have to go to church to pray to it, the god i believe in, is the creator of the universe, with all its wonders, where as the church and its organized priests mafia, just couple of hundreds of years ago burned people on the stake for saying the earth was not flat, and the sun did not revolve around the earth, thats what i think bout organized religion.

I did not say anything about the existence of god, or whether I believe or not. I merely objected to the "anyone that doesnt belive in God, or something simular is fool" qualification.
Why would not believing make you a fool? I would think that at the very least it would be a rational point of view, given that you can't prove (or disprove) the existence of a god...
I would go as far as to say there may well exist people that don't believe in god, that are not a fool (not saying I'm one of them, mind you).
OK a little background, I am an active participant on Wikipedia, and have been looking at some of the religious portals and a consistent area of dispute surrounds Creationism, often, funny enough between YEC (Young Earth Creationist) and OEC (Old Earth...). YEC believe that the Earth is around 6,000 years old and all evidence to the contrary is science trying to quell religion, any creationist that does not believe in the literal 6 days of creation as per Genesis and that the earth is around 6,000 years old is effectively blaspheming by not listening to the true word of God.
There is much written about this with opinion polls asking somewhat convoluted questions, I was trying to simplify the questions and was going to place multiple polls in this thread, unfortunately only one is allowed.
My end goal is to get legislation in New Zealand passed to not allow any form of Creationism to be taught in science at any school. Absolutely fine to teach in comparative religious studies at say, high school and above, fine to open the day with a prayer to their God at a religious school, but never in science.

I dont believe/care about god nor any kind of religion. I also dont beleive in watching what i eat, health or anything else that tells me how to live my life. I eat what i want no matter the good/bad consequences. I do what i want no matter the good/bad consequences. Lifes to short to be held back from enjoying life and doing what you want to do because youre told too or its not good for u. I have nothing aginst peoples religious beliefs or people who are vegan, vegetarians ect but i personally wont be held back because of the little things. Lifes to short not to enjoy that fat steak, that big sticky joint or having sex on the sidewalk with a complete stranger because its a sin. I have not once woke up on a sunday morning to go to church, also have not once considerd it. Id rather spend my days with my family or the odd sunday trying to kick my hangover then go to a ceremony where they preach about s**t i know nothing about, care nothing about with abuncha strangers i dont know. I can see how some people may get peace from believing in something, i also believe in things. I believe lifes what you make it. I believe the police are just people too. I believe teachers are paid to teach, judges are paid to sentence but in the end were all equal and i will not allow someone else to curve the way i live my life.
