things are pretty slow at Party so switching to Stars is the right move so that I can rail but most importantly you will have greater volume of games there which will make this challenge more interesting to follow.

Someone has already said in here a couple of times how to avoid the currency exchange fees,
in Poker stars, with multiple currencies.
If im not mistaken it was marqis, but cant remember right at this point Smile
Look it up though, to find his post.
Why paying fees if there is a reason to avoid them?

I know what you mean i did it myself but you are not avoiding the currency exchange however it cost a little less. the way to do is deposit in Canadian money and have stars make the change in US it cost approx. 2.5% less than if you make your deposit in US first. Smile Smile

G'day mates

This challenge is officially on hold until I get my bankroll onto PokerStars.
I need the volume in order to get decent table selection.
I will also have the ability to play anytime I want unlike on Party.
I will let you know as soon as it begin again.

G'day mates

Well I have been eagerly waiting my cash out from PartyPoker to arrive into my bank account so that I could transfer it onto my PokerStars account and continue with the ascension challenge.
Today I received the following message from PartyPoker...

I have rechecked the information given to them and it is correct.
Contacted my credit union and have been informed that due to NEW Canadian banking laws which have been passed by our Fracking government they are no longer legally allowed to accept direct deposits from online gambling sites.

So ok fine but when I logged back onto my PartyPoker account there is less money in my account then I cashed out for.
Why I asked... Yep you guessed it, I was charged a fee for the failed cash out attempt.
I am unhappy but it seems there is nothing I can do right now.
Will try to figure something out again later today.
Just wanted to update you all.

Ronin Aww crap!

I really do not understand i recently made two withdrawals from Party Poker to my bank by electronic transfer one was on june 26-2015 and the other july 16-2015 received in my account without any problem. Probably it is your credit union that wont accept this kind of transaction. Question Question

You might be right.
All I know is it has left me frustrated and angry.
I will be looking into this issue farther without question.

Poor you because I see that Canadian are limited when it comes to choose which payment method to use for online transaction you are using bank transfer which we all know is the method that takes a long time then it's worse as it was a failure too, hope things will get better and you get back on track as soon as possible. Good luck with your cashout.

hello Ronin what is going on with your PP cashout and this challenge?

G'day mate

Things are still in transit right now waiting on another cash out attempt.
I am thinking about just making a deposit myself onto PStars and moving forward.
Then once my party cash out finally goes through I just keep it instead of depositing it.
It would basically be the same thing but it would get things going again.
be cool

Hey Ronin if your going to deposit at stars then you should do it before their promo runs out.
deposit with the code MEGABONUS and you get some free cash, with no restrictions.
You could actually get up to $100K for free.

Good luck bud. Thumbs Up

It looks like that things with online gambling gets worst everywhere as the time goes.
And the funny thing is that at some point after black friday many players moved in canada
to be ably and play.

That party poker is unbelievable with the fees.

Yeah, Hungary had too a new gambling law last year which was brought up to stop online gambling provided by non-hungarian entities (since they made they licenses impossible to get to any foreign company) and 2 stop the money flow by the banks. As long as we have skrill and neteller (plus zenmate) I do not worry, but I am rooting for you Ronin. Otherwise you could never get that money out of there other way just by a player2player transfer...

You should all take your cash and come to Mauritius, you'll never have online gambling law issues here and don't forget we have wonderful beaches and our local dishes are pretty cheap Cool

i am thinking about withdrawing my $0 bankroll (if it's not against Lithuanian law) and swimming straight to Mauritius. i'm pretty sure i would be able to successfully relaunch my poker career over there, and also expand my "Pochui's Balls Shaving Stand" franchise on the island.

Agree with pochui, as long as you have some cheap cabana on the beach we could rent we are definitely going!

Well there is no such a problem in Mauritius now Smile
But you never can be so sure about it.
Recent example is Canada. How long ago was, that canadians were saying come to canada
we dont have any gambling laws, it is free Smile

Who is telling you that we have laws against gambling and to my knowledge Canadians never invited peoples to move in here because of that. I made two withdrawals from Party Poker directly to my bank in the last month without problem. I also made three deposits to PokerStars in the last three weeks directly from my bank again and no problem.

So the Ronin's problem IMO is not a Canadian problem but pretty sure its is credit union the problem.

G'day mates

I think pinotte is correct.
I also believe that I am having these problems because I am dealing with a credit union.
I know others who deal with BMO and they are not having any problems.
I am looking into switching my banking from the credit union to another bank.
Planning on making a deposit this week and then the challenge will begin again.

Ahhh that's good news but I would like to know if you will deposit $75 which is the starting amount you planned or deposit where you left at PP that is $95.67 if I'm right?
