No, it is not a bad beat. It is just a cooler or setup. Robl, the guy with the nines, never was in the lead during the hand. Actually, he was drawing dead after the flop, even if he made a monster hand himself.

I watched this video about week ago, and I have to say its bad beat, he hit quads... when you hit quads, you r almoust 100% sure that pot is yours... so another player to have stronger quads is just big cooler....
Bad beat - You get it all-in versus someone as a (big)favourite, but end up losing the pot. For example : AK vs A8 preflop all-in
Cooler - You have nuttish hand which beats 99% percent of other made hands (straights,sets,fullhouseses... depends of the board offcourse) and you get it allin and your opponent has that one hand that beats you. Example: set of fours vs. set of nines on a 249 board

Hi mate hope you are doing okay and having fun at the tables and making a lot of money , i would like to say that bad beat is part of poker and you will have to learn to live with it and sometimes it can hurt i know about it i got a lot of bad beat and busted a lot of roll like that now i am a bit more relax and bust much less roll for now anyway good luck at the tables have fun and make a lot of money mate and cheers on our day!

Most of the casino and some online poker room have bad beat jackpot. After having look to a few of them IMO this hand would be consider as a bad beat in most of them.

I think in all of them this will consider bad beat... and he would won jackpot... I think bad beat jackpot for all casinos is when you lose with FH or better...

Hadnt seen that video before. I believe it is a bad beat. Isnt it. With a hand like this wouldnt you have won a bad beat jackpot in any of the sites that run such a promotion? Quads lost by another quads. I think it qualifies
