I ask me, why we had different rules in the EU. And all serious online rooms are licensed and approved. And stars and ft are in the same Network and all players got enough experience at this serious sites.

Hi mate sad to hear from that but as time goes i think poker and gambling will become more regularize and we will have to pay a lot of tax, it looks a gold mine if you see that some countries already realizing it and making money from tax off it, anyway sad for you mate ,keep the chin up or move out and look elsewhere for your edge if not work a daily job that all i can recommend for now lol, cheers peace out mate!

It was meant to happen. And there is no doubt more countries will follow.
Poker Stars most probably will get a license for it, so sooner or later you will be able to play there again.
Just pray that the other networks and sites will follow this Smile

They are talking of something similar in my country, but as other laws were voted in, and never enforced, i think it will be the same, coz there are laws for sure, but no1 to enforce them, coz it will cost the government money, so some rich prick will pay off a politician to vote for the law, but then its up to government to enforce it, and here is where my country lags not just in money but also in people that can actually enforce the law, coz they have to know wtf are they doing, and they don't, coz the lvl of corruption in this country is insane, and they put people in charge that are brainless, that`s why we have anti piracy laws, but we still download from piratebay and kickasstorrents Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile god bless corruption and brainless fukcs Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

It is very sad to see that you wont be able to play real money poker for a while. But government all around the world needs money and tax on gambling is a very lucrative one. Here the government is in charge of gambling in the province and they collect from that over 1 billion a year managing gambling. Big Smile Big Smile

Hey AV......I am sure that pokerstars will get a licence to play in Portugal....tbh I am surprised it has got to this stage, couldn't they have done it without losing customers?
So you are still playing at party for tonights game?

If there is no reason and they are covered they do not seek for new licenses.
No one likes to pay when there is no need to. And if there is a delay in getting one, i dont
think that poker stars will starve without the Portuguese players Smile

Hello
Do not you think it's something permanent, probably in the not too distant time solve all
The gambling business, especially online poker is very important and lucrative to leave out such an important country as Portugal
The other is slucion move to live in another country like England where this allowed oline poker Big Smile

If you think about it it's better this way, you will have more time to work, study, walk with your wife or care for your children, and also to play ball with friends, jogging or walking, playing chess, take a walk on dog, going to a movie or read a book
Now if you can start making a truly healthy life and not end every day with a broken ass how much you lose on PokerStars Tongue
