great run
it is amazing , finshing 11th out of 16K
i did watch you a little bit yesterday while i was playing
i really hoped you would go further but still 8$ into 600$ not bad for 8 hours work
i did see both hands you talked about , and i wonder why the big 3-bet
both times someone raised and you pushed all-in pre-flop , i would rather take a flop with AJ espicially both of you had big stacks
is it because the blind are going higher or maybe cause the play was shorted handed

Very nice result against 16K players and also a good return in money. You are a 100% better player then me but i was watching you play and i just wonder why you called thee all in of one player from what a i saw was going all in only with big pairs and you called him with deuces. Also at this stage of the game i find that you A J call was very risky. I just think you stretched your luck after having win with two coin flip with your 9 and you 5. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

SKP... When I shoved AJ I was about 20bb deep and facing a raise. Flat calling is totally out of the question, as then you're calling 10% of your stack hoping to hit - and then if you do hit, you likely won't get paid off. Shoving is the only good move there.

Pinotte... With the 22, I had already raised 2.2 bb when he shoved, it was a further 5bb to call... with those odds alone it's a must call - as Ax, KQ, KJ etc were definitely part of his re-shoving range. But then when you factor in the extra $150 up for grabs for knocking him out it becomes an absolute nailed on call.

At all stages of a tournament, but at the late stage even more so, you have to look for the good spots and take advantage of them... Folding the 22 UTG was an option.... but I believe I chose the better one and am happy with the play. The AJ I have no reservations about whatsoever - Even if I could see they had 77 I'm still shoving there. 50/50 with tens of thousands of dead money in the pot make it an utter no-brainer.

You don't succeed in poker by being timid Smile

77 actually was the best hand you could ask for
the way i see it .. no one will call allin unless they had a pair or better than AJ ..

so your best case is 50/50 .. thats why i would call and win/lose a small pot .. rather than taking a chance for your tournament life

and to conclude my opinion is useless .. i am just a tight losing player xD

good job yout .. i am sure you will playing the main event .. good luck in that

8 times out of 10 the opener folds... and my stack increases by 20% without seeing a flop. 5 times out of 10 when they call, they'll call with pocket pairs below Jacks... 2 times out of 10 they call with a smaller Ace or KQ/KJ... 3 times out of 10 I'm an underdog.

It's not even close to being a -EV move Smile

Plus... If I flat call there and miss, my chance of taking down the tournament is very slim. With the shove, if I won that hand I would've fancied my chances of going on to a BIG win.

What can I say? You did well, and I'm glad somebody here took the effort to mention how this year's MM going for him so far (okay it's just one tourney but still, I know many mobsters are participating) on the other hand I am two days too late from the party to cheer for you, so the only thing I could tell right now that you will get it next time. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
