Blom Wins Big

Viktor "isildur1" Blom has been doing great in the past few days on PokerStars nosebleed tables. According to HighStakesDB, the 24-year-old Swede's winning streak began on Friday and he's currently up $2.3 million in the past 7 days. The biggest pot was played on a Pot Limit Omaha $200/$400 table on Tuesday: "WithColor" bet $1,360 from the small blind, Blom made it $4,240, and WithColor called. T[...]   Read more » Blom Wins Big

Omaha as we know it. It is just heads up play here, but still it ends up full house over full house. this, combined with the fairly high stakes, and no one has to wonder about the big swings there.

A $274K pot always leaves someone with a smile on his face. Being played heads-up will mean that the other guy won't be smiling for a while. But that hand was very well played. Almost like knowing his opponent would bet big on the river, Blom checked it, like telling him to do how he wanted. He decided to get burned.

The Viktor Blom juggernaut continues to roll on!! This guy is, in my opinion, the biggest definition of a gambler i have ever known. Good luck to him and i hope he keeps going for a long time

Well he shouldn't be anyway - those cards he had would not even be a good starting hand at Hi/Lo let alone simple Omaha.

It was a heads up table. There is no time to wait for moster starting hands. More so, as Omaha has no hand so dominating, as AA is in Hold'em. But most of the time they and up all in at the river anyway.

he is preaty agressive, and bluff a lot, so any hand in heads up is good for him to enter pot... Smile

i'm really impressed with blom's ability to record overall profit- he is up an amazing amount of ~$1.23 million on stars... that is just insane, i mean what can stop this dude... apart from overall loss of ~$4.74 millions on full tilt.
rise like a fenix/penis and wipe out your losses blom,
rise like a fenix/penis....

I really do not know why this is in the news. It is not a big news to see Bloom win big amount of money.

The next news will be Bloom lost a big amount of money on PokerStars tables and so on win, lose won , lose.

The only interesting thing would be once or twice a year how much he is winning or losing not every time he is playing. Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

what is going on here ? going all-in with the worst full house possible while playing Omaha
if Blom had in his hand Q-Q , 4-4 , 10-10 , 3-Q and 3-10 .. any of these beat WithColor's hand
i think the reputation of Blom as an aggressive player who doesn't like to fold helped him top these " professional " online players
i don't think 1 million mean a lot to the young Blom
but for sure he slept with a smile on his face that night

With Victor Blom it is always either Blom wins big or Blom loses big.
I notice that his played hands combined on stars and full tilt total around 2 million.I don't know what arrangements he would have with the sites but it would be interesting to know how much rake he has earned stars/ft in that time.
