Although the registation desks are open until the start of Day 2, we already know for a fact that the EPT Barcelona Main Event, with 1,673 entries, is the biggest Main Event in the history of the European Poker Tour! the fact that completely blows my mind and shows unprecedented quality of this tournament is that 989 survivors made it to the next day. this figure is so amazing, that it leaves like 7332 live poker tournaments totally in the dust when comparing the numbers of survivors who make it to the next day.

wow .. biggest main even in EPT (European Poker Tour) History ..
Barcelona is doing an extraordinary job hosting these events
it is also nice to see some poker "celebrities" still going strong
i am hoping Elky make the final table and also hoping to see some beautiful faces in that final table like Gaelle Baumann and Fatima Moreira de Melo ..

I have just checked the chipcounts at the end of today and there is now only 14 left.The leader is Denis Shafikov,I think he is from Ukraine,he has a 1.5 million chip advantage over 2nd placed Staven Warburton from the UK.
John Juanda is still alive in about 9th place.
