... < Hey guys,...I've been taking a real liking to these knockout tourneys as of late playing both the $1/$150 Gtd and the $2/$250 Gtd over on partypoker every day...and have played a few others elsewhere in the past...SO...
...I've noticed that the $27 tic I won last week on PS can buy me into a bunch of different $27 tourneys including these 2 in the pic below,...a Knockout tourney,...and a Super Progressive Knockout... You can see the buy ins...!
What are the differences and which is better...? Thanks!

The regular one you get in the case shown you get $5.00 for each player you knockout. The other one the progressive you get half of the prize in your account and the other half accumulated to your bounty. Let say the bounty is $4.00 and you knockout 5 you get $10.00 in your account and your bounty is $10.00 if someone knock you out he gets it. Maybe someone else could explain more than me.

its simple, in regular knockout you get bounty of 5$ for each player you knockout, but in progeressive super knockout, you get half of bounty that was on that players head... in begining bounties are small, but on final table you van win 1k$ and more for kicking player out

Hey Demo......not sure which kind of tourney you will decide to enter but maybe with your style of play and being very good of going quite far in tournies the progressive bounties might be better for you.....I have seen you play very quietly for most of the game yet end up knocking lots of players out when it gets to last few tables.
Hey Demo - U also have a new one at full tilt hat starts at 5:45 GMT with 5$ buyin theres a 2.5$ bounty which is not bad at all. Only thing that bothers me is that u start with 500 chips.

You have a chance to make some good money out of this ticket. So no matter what your final decision will be, try to play your bets game there, and land yourself a good payout. Good luck with it.

My advise would be to go into the progressive, there is a lot more money to be won( example take out Tom and get $5.00 in reg bounty) ( take out Joe who has been doing well and his bounty is $25.00) well which is better???
There is no higher risk, you still have to play the game your usual way
You gotta remember, ( your not there to take out bounties) your there to win the game.
If you mind set is to take out bounties, doesn't matter which game you play , you will lose.

... < Thanks Guys...!!!
... < As Klash & crash say...(hey,...those rhyme...lol...),...might as well go for the progressive... I was thinking the same thing...! I'll just wait for a quiet night and go for the one that starts at 7:00pm Eastern...!
... < I've been doing quite well in these various other bounty tourneys I've been playing, so MAYbe some of that will carry over...!
The only knock out tournament i don't see on Stars is a pure bounty tournament like on 888Poker $3.30 only knock outs get paid 3 did fairly well in one of them playing loose style aggressive with marginal hands and got 10 bounties Progressive is the way too go with bounties starting higher and increasing as the game gets into the middle and late stages GL

one thing you should know about bounty tournaments is when you are calculating pot odds, its not like in regular tournament, because bounties add additional chip value, search it online, specialy if you are planing to play progressive super knockout

... < So I played a $27 Super Progressive Knockout the other night,...and just 2 or 3 hands in I scored a close knockout and pocketed $6.13,...but unfortunately I went ABSOLutely card for the remainder and finished in about 112th kinda thing, where it started paying at 90 places...! ...but at least I got a small consolation prize,...and 13+VPPs,...for whatever they're worth...

At least you got something out of it. And that amount isnt bad. You where close itm though, that could have given you a little extra. But i believe this wasnt the worst way to finish that tournament Nice one.

Yeah as said by the other mobsters progressive knockouts are better if you play tight and then wait to knockout players, you could just wait and knockout the big guy and you will have make a lot of money if the guy had won a lot of bounty before and all, anyway good luck mate at the tables hope you do well and make a lot of money, cheers anyway saw you managed to get some money back, just keep playing it is +ev if played right!

Honestly this is not a strategy I'd use frequently in knockout tournaments.
