yup thats happend couple of times, its because chip chop... when you do chip chop you can get more than 1st prize money, nothing suspicious...

------------
there are some players who have, lets say 150BB with 4 or 5 players left who all have under 10BB so he can say I want 14, or 15k$ even if prize is 13k$ and rest they can split... there is many option to get more money than first prize, and I seen it couple of times... also there was few cases when chip leader want exact prize money for first, like in this case 13,500$ and there is 1k left for winner, so he could win 14,500$... hope you understand it...

That is really weird... Why would 2,3 and 4 take that deal?

Even when they were all severely short stacked, you can still outlast one or two of the others, for a decent pay bump...

They are all taking between 3rd and 4th place this way...

lets say they were 5 left, and like I said first have 150BB others have under 10BB, 5th place is lets say like 2k$ and second place is like 9k$, and chip leader says give me that much, and I will let rest of you split rest of the money, so thay can have 5k+ and because they were all like 10BB, nobady knows who will exit next, and they will accept the deal.... you understand now?

To smooth out the swings, it is common nowadays for players to agree to a deal or ‘chop’. This splits up the prizes, making sure everyone has a fair share. Sometimes the final table deal ends the game, other times you might play for a smaller prize or ‘bragging rights’ for coming first.

There are 3 major sites with support for final table chops, PokerStars, Party Poker and Full Tilt Poker – Party and FTP have a built-in system to help you automate this

I think we all know how final table deal making works, but fail to understand how 2, 3 and 4 could accept such a bad deal. The image shows that 1,2,3 and 4 made a deal, where 1st place got a great deal.

My point is that there is no chip distribution I can think of where this is a deal that 2,3 and 4 should accept.

What is there to discuss? Those 2 guys accepted deal for 6k when they had 7k guaranteed if they bust right away... Guy got 3k more then he would if he wins god damn thing!

Well done you should make money if you know how to negotiate but sometimes you do not know what is happening outside and all , sometimes that guy might be sad and want to go or that guys is tired or it is morning and have to work, or he was just so happy he does not mind sharing more cash as it is his first time winning , well see all those possibilities, anyway have fun and good luck at the tables keep us updated on your progress!

I havent ever seen such a deal before.
The thing that impressed me though, was the total prize pool and of course the money top 10
were getting. For a 2$ tournament i never thought it can reach that high.
So participating in this one really worth the entry.

maybe he offered them a free ball shave?

The deal does look strange for the players in 2nd and 3rd place, maybe the stacks were very close and I notice that the tourney went on from 8.30 until past 5 the next morning so maybe they had just had enough and for a $2 rebuy $6k is pretty damn good.

one of the stupidest deal i have ever seen
seriously even if he had a monster chip lead .. never make a deal where a player can win more than the 1st place prize
that guy must be so happy
how can they accept to get 6K each where 3rd pays 7K and 2nd pays 9K
i don't know how can these players reach final tables
i don't want judge , maybe they were tired after long tournament

I not very good in mathematics but I those those guys who finished 2, 3 and 4 were screwed in that deal decision... they could have earned much more... to be honest if I were one of them even very tired with the huge game duration I would have played till the end... did not invested that much so I nothing to lose.

thats the point of the deal, always someone has to take less than it would take, and also who knows that they could finish in same position if deal isnt made...
