ok now can someone tell me why can't they just give cold hard cash and move over to some underground facilities to gamble and gangbang as long as they like... gambling is gambling- it should not go toe to toe with children, charity, good causes etc. definitely great to see someone donating to good causes, but just take away the gambling element of this and all is cool imho

They have charities for being able 2 earn tax-exempt status in most of the places... The most ridiculous one was when the NFL in America did not payed taxes on their income up until a couple years ago since they were a non-profit organization. Billions in profit - just from the tv-licenses alone - is making you 'non-profit' - the greatest scheme in history right after the panama-canal.

I think most businesses now use charities as a tax scam but as long as somebody makes sure the charity actually gets a decent amount of money we can't really complain......unless you have the thinking that maybe if big businesses paid their fair share of taxes we wouldn't be living with "austerity" and people would not have to rely on charity.

No, I am thinking that many corporate based charities is just about as much bullcrap as the companies who are running it. In the USA there are many ways to check that the organization which you want support is how well spending your money, and tbh there are way too many 'charities' where board members take home six or seven figure salaries, yet only 10-20% of all incoming money going out the actual cause. It's a business like everything else. Charity is a business.

I'm not so sure I am too concerned about the relevancies of taxation on the process of identifying contributions to good causes. I think it is wrong for governments to tax charity donations that have already been subject of taxation and think that any other funds should be tax free as well.
