Is this really necessary?I don't see the point in it as if you really want fast play and lack of social interaction wouldn't you just play online. Also I am sure that casino workers in Las Vegas have a pretty good Union so would they really allow this to happen?

I the near future we probably also have Humanoid babysitters watching our children, simply because they don't make mistakes.

A robot will not harm or abuse our babies.

Do I think it's a good thing, not sure. There are a lot of pros and cons.

The whole world will be full of people interacting only with robots kinda creeps me out.
Disagree

But a Robot can never replace real social interaction or the love a mother gives. Heart Heart Heart

Lol this is going to change the world i presume, that people will think that the robots are more rigged and most people would not play there lol, anyway good luck guys hope they do reach their goals who knows maybe in a few years their ideas would be a good one and people will lean towards the robot but i cannot see it now as people will lose job and all, anyway good luck mate have fun at the tables hope you do well and make money mate!

The headline is a bit misleading. The company developing those machines just hopes, to crack the US market. That may very well turn out as wishfull thinking. The key problems have been mentioned in the earleir posts. Lack of interaction with the players and dug in interest groups defending their claim.

I do not understand why do all these tricks !? Because these robots live tournaments in a row you will use, otherwise defeats the purpose of live tournament, because it is not only that the participants see each other, but also that the dealer is the man and that man shuffles cards and rents. On the other hand it is as always will bring something new to the world of online casinos and poker rooms!

If one of these dealers stop working in a tournament, how long the tournament would lose just to fix the robot? For me, its unnecessary

This is amazing.... However I know of loads of people who can provide similar services while being devoid of any facial expression or social interaction skills.......

As for another first, I just wonder how long it would be until 'Min' makes the pages of The Candy Store!

I don't actually think it is that far fetched.

I never understand how people go all the way to a casino and then spend all their time on the computerised roulette or the slot machines. You can do that at home.

Everything is becoming computerised these days, within 20 years everything will be run by computers and humans will be obsolete.

People will start using the robots to deal, customers will do it a couple of times to 'see what its like and say they have done it.'

Within a short while they will be fully accepted in much the same way self-serve is in supermarkets

... Big Smile< Robots don't steal things like,...chips, or cash,....or dress like Ninjas to sneak through windows at night in order to purloin a pair or 2 of ladies panties from the laundry hamper Confusedfor that matter...

Big Smile<....BUT,....there is an upside to all this robot stuff,.... pochui could employ an army of Lithuanian Ninja robots to sneak through windows at night issuing complimentary promotional ballshaves.... Shock Big Smile

... Big Smile< or enemas.... Shock

In the UK they had a big rise in self service tills in supermarkets which was supposed to be revolutionary and time saving etc but now a lot of supermarkets are getting rid of them as they found they take longer to use and there always has to be a member of staff there anyway and it appears ordinary people were taking the opportunity to steal.
Sounds a good idea in theory but if a human has to supervise a robot what is the point and when a human programs a machine there is always going to be problems and when it involves money there will be crims trying to take advantage. Smile

A good dealer does more than just deal cards. They also arbitrate when a disagreement or rules question comes up. I doubt the robot could do that.

well this makes lots of sense from business point of view- and that's the main reason robots are getting so popular. this trend will surely continue, robots will take over more and more of our jobs and we will just chill, lay on the beach, shave our balls regularly and live from the government money we will receive on a monthly basis.
