It's not tough luck rather than one of the participators (either the company or the couple) in this case trying to act as stupid as they can be. If they purchased the actual ticket then they must have a reference number (even online), if they didn't then they must have a sad friggin' story and face next to it but this story is just retarded IMO.

you know what- i also missed on that humongous prize, i also tried to buy 69 tickets for the lotto, but i was told for some odd reason that i didn't have enough money in my account, which i believe was not the case- they were simply trying to rig the situation and leave me without my millions. then phone rang and i woke up.

G'day mates I do not think these people deserve a damn thing. They claim that they have been using this app for a long time and that they knew if you did not receive a confirmation email that you did not have your ticket. They were just to lazy to check their email because it was Xmas? BS I call "B******t". "Oh wait I tried to by last weeks lotomax ticket, but I did not get the ticket in time, but I swear the winning numbers were the ones I was going to pick, so please give me my $60 million dollars please." These people are to stupid and lazy to be given anything. Everyone knows if you want a loto ticket you get the damned things early on, you do not wait till the very last few minutes then try to get them. Give them nothing!

I always love it when people who have f***ed up on something come out with a load of unadulterated versions of events that seek to absolve them from any blame and blame something on someone else in the vain hope that someone will feel sorry for them and give them something for not actually having done what they didn't do.

Exactly. So many stories like this are out there and everytime I am reading them the 'losers' are always sounding either lazy or stupid or both.

U kinda have to play for having a real bad beat. They did not even play. They just complained about something-something 2 do with the site's workload on christmas yet did nothing about to check they ticks actually went through.

This is terrible and this was probably a chance of a lifetime....missed!!! I suppose they should have checked that it went through successfully (via the app) as we are often quick to shift blame. I do feel bad for them although. better luck next time, if it ever comes again.
Best way too avoid this situation is to get off your lazy ass take a brisk walk too the local 7 eleven/ gas station and buy the ticket here in Ontario Lotto purchases deadline got extended from 9:00pm to 10:30 plenty of time to buy that winning ticket.

They are old couple, maybe. So lazy to walk out and nearest local station that sell ticket far enough. Maybe that's true story, if not their luck anything would happen, right. If they have luck they will win someday, lol. Hope so
