Wow.... A huge 18 players got paid this week. It's getting more popular than ever. I was doing pretty well, then all of a sudden I was out. I can't recall how, but what I do know is that twice yesterday on PartyPoker I was all in with KK up against 66 and I lost to a straight. That's the way it crumbles cookie wise. I got beat by a reraisedreraised with 23o all well at one stage. What is the world coming to.

See y'all next week.

Was bubble boy for the first time in BRM freeroll Sad

Got my KK crushed by 66 for a 17k pot all in pre flop, then I became short stack instead of chip leader. Shoved AQ with 3 and a half BB left and got called by 10j, 10 on the flop and nothing for me! The guy who busted me actually limped 10j off suit UTG and then thought about it before calling my small shove, very weird play.

There was some terrible plays towards the end of bubble play. I saw chip leader fold to a 3BB shove on his BB on an other table... Disagree Chip leaders should press action, not stall it! And it is simply mathematically incorect to fold there even if you know you have the worst hand considering the antes and defending your BB... But whatever, I paid for other people's mistakes, that's common in poker Blink I'm going for the win anyways, not for a min cash!

Sorry to see you bubble...

I do disagree with you on chip leader's action. If you are comfortably stacked on the bubble, it's good to protect the tiny stacks, to make the bubble last as long as possible. All the medium stacks are just waiting for the bubble to burst, and you can take their blinds with any 2 cards each time. This is a great time to take advantage, so why bust the tiny stacks here? That will just end your ability to bully the rest of the table. You can even play aggressive when the small stack is all in, and there are callers/raisers, just to let the small stack beat you, without being troubled by the other players. The few BB you lose are paid for many times over, by the blinds you can keep on stealing on the bubble.
Everyone knows you are doing it, but they can't do anything about it either (other than being brave that is, but no one likes to bubble when there are a few tiny stacks around that are about to bust).

I do agree with your last point though; go for the win, not ITM.

Well, these 3 BB stacks can become a threat later if you "let" them rebuild. Shoving a 3BB stack and having the whole table fold is basically a double up. This is why it is standard to call there. Any player rebuilding his stack becomes a threat. Eleminating them with little risk to your stack can't be a bad thing. Besides, they could be shoving any small connectors at this point because they know they can't fold their next BB. And they could start shoving every hand too. Somebody's gonna have to call so might as well do it before giving him a free double up.

I agree that it can be a strategy to keep the bubble play going, but it just wasn't the case there. Chip leader only had 30 BB and was a nit. At this point if he waits too much he won't be a chip leader for long because everybody was shallow. (bc big stacks weren't stealing pots at all)

Anyways, that's just not in my book. Don't try to steal my big when u have 3 BB, Im gonna call with 72o Blink You've been warned! lol
