I thought it would be interesting to write about my poker achievements this year.

I am just an average poker player with not much time to play so this is what I m gonne do

Play cash games hold em on Unibet

if I play sng, mtt or omaha I ll will mention it

My start is today with 200 euro

My goal is to get to 500 euro at the end of the year, if it s more it s welcome

I play +/- 3 hours a week so that s why the goal is not that big.

I starts playing 0.05/0.10 blinds (5 euro buyin) and if my bankroll goes under 180 I ll move down to 0.02/0.05

So I ll keep you posted

It is a goal that can be achieved easy i guess if you are dedicated to it.
Plenty of time. Good luck with it.

Well the start was not that good.

was playing on 4 tables and after +/- 30 min was down 19 euros.

could climb back a little and after 2 hours of poker left the tables with 191 euro

Hope to do better next session

cheers

Out of the two hundred you started with? It's just not clear that you had 191 euro profit or 9 euro loss.
Good luck though. This thread should be a blog instead.

well first of all: Good Luck! moving onwards- nice to see a goal that is realistic, also nice to see a dude who just plays for a few hours a week, not forgetting that there is life besides poker. hope you will be able to achieve your goal and don't forget to keep us updated.

Man playing +/- 3 hours a week is very, very low.
That's probably only one day a week .
Where is the practice , learning......
I Will be honest with you.
You will probably lose all your money.
Therefore I think it's better to play tournaments 1-5$ buy in. Maybe you will hit something .

So you want to win 300 EUR playing 3 hours a week for 52 weeks on NL10. That is 3000 big blinds in 156 hours of play, that is 19.2 big blinds per hour.

Say you play 100 hands/hour per table => You'd need to average 19.2 BB/100 if you play only 1 table, so that's not an option (that would be a very high win rate).

You'd need to play 6 tables at a 3.2 BB/100 winrate to achieve this. I hope you are good at multi tabling... I don't think it is an easy goal to achieve at all!
Good luck!

There have being several time, that i felt like starting thread like this.
Later i found out, that it was upswing and im still not winning player.
I have evolved from losing player to slowly losing player, but so far thats it.
But i wish you luck. Keep us updated and also advice from personal experience - make sure you set limits to cashtables and SnG and MTT buyins (actual settings in pokersite, not in your head, they dont work so well Smile
PS - maube its my personal probelm and you dont tilt.

could climb a little means I had 191 at the end, if I would have won 191 euro s it would not be a little

I play poker for +/- 10 years so I think I know the poker basics.
even if I only make it till 300 euro s at the end of the year it would be Ok fo me. The target is 500 but that still means any profit is OK.

For the calculators ... 300 euro profit in 50 weeks is 6 euro a week, which is 2 euro a hour so on 4 tables it is 0.5 euro/hour per table.

Future will tell the outcome.

cheers and thx for support and advice

Little update

just played for +/- 1 hour and made little profit

I think ending a session with profit is always good

So my bankroll is now 194.9 euro.

See you next time and GL at the tables

I agree, if you discipline with that principle and not play too much ( just in good mood or lucky moment play longer ). Stop play when make some profit, even small. I am sure you will make your goal ! Good luck .

It is always good ending with profit, no matter how much that is. Even 1 cent Smile
The purpose is to climb up the ladder with less up and downs.
It helps in your game too, mentally and psychologically. Better luck in your next sessions.

Well played today a session of +/- 1.5 hour

in the beginning the stats were against me .. as my AA got cracked (all in preflop) and lost another hand even worse

raised 3 bb with pocket 8 from the button , got called by the big blind

flop K 8 3 rainbow opponent raises 1/3 pot, I reraise and he goes allin

He has KK

So was down +/- 15 euros after half an hour and decided to go down to 0.02/0.05 ( bankroll was 180 euro)

managed to collect some euros back and ended at 186.5 euro

Maybe I ll stay at the 0.02/0.05 blinds for the following sessions.... I have to think about that

Cheers

Gonne play the 0.02/0.05 tables and try to collect some money there.

Will keep you informed about the outcome

dude sit on 2 tables with 25$ on 10 25 cents and you have for 4 rebuys... run it up to 500 = 20buyins or bust.... and then you play 10 25 trying to make 1500 for 25 50... 5 10 cent is cockroaching

Well that s not my way of playing poker.

I have a strict bankrollmanagement and as in normal live I try to avoid big risks.

I also play poker to relax and if I can make some money its an extra but not my main purpose.

I played a session of +/- 1.5 hours and won 1.5 euro so now I have 188

still waiting for a very good day but I am ok with the result

I dont know how you can do this, but so far i have never played a single poker game to relax Smile
It is quite the opposite. And if there is a bad beat in the way, then that word is out
of my dictionary Smile

Just follow the play style you are feeling comfortable.
