PokerStars return to the United States of America  0
Last month PokerStars announced that after five years of abscense, the biggest online poker site would return to the United States of America. PokerStars NJ invited 500 players to test its software and if everything goes as planned they will launch the site next Monday.

PokerStars will be available only for the players in New Jersey. That means that if you are in the United States you will be able to create an account but you can only play if you are physically in New Jersey.

To celebrate the launch PokerStars NJ will host the We Are In New Jersey Freeroll this March 27. The tournament will have a $25,000 dollar prizepool with $5,000 dollars going to the champion.

I hope its just starting good news. Hope whole USA can play poker online again. Look like merger FT & PS too early. They should be consider if USA policy will change ( maybe they already know, that's will happen in long time ).

Congratulations to New Jersey and to Pokerstars for this momentous occasion. I find it absolutely amazing that people cannot access online poker in this day and age. Good luck to all who get involved and may it all make the world a happier and safer place. Long live poker.

The State of New Jersey have a population of a little less than 10M. Right now they have on line poker with WSOP.com, 888 poker. Party Poker and now Stars just had the license and are launching their site including casino. I have read that the trafic on the other sites is very low and now with stars coming will probably see a battle to gain the poker and casino players of this State four sites for a small population.

IMO if it stay only for N.J. State and does not wide to include all the U.S populations some wont survive i don't see more than one site being profitable in just one little Sate. Question Question

I wouldnt call his a return, but a try or an attempt to return to USA.
With only one state and so many to go Smile
But you can say it is a start. A very slow one that took way too long.
It may take years, to become legal if not in most in all USA.

well i guess it's just the start of big things to come, i mean they dipped their toe first, to test the water, then they decide to put in whole foot... water are clear and safe, then they sunk in their salami and baam- out of the blue comes a shark and bye bye to your salami. moral to the story- don't return to us of a pokerstars.
