A catholic priest in southern Ontario is in the hot seat as Canadian Police launched an investigation over his alleged gambling away nearly $380,000 dollars that have been allocated for refugees. Father Amer Saka told Bishop Emanuel Shaleta that a significant amount of money earmarked for refugees had disappeared. The bishop asked the priest how to which the priest said, "Gambling."

Losing $300000 is absolutely insane. At some point he must have realized he was no good at gambling and decided to read some strategy articles. Unfortunately the only book at hand must have been the almighty bible. Praise be! Praise be!

father saka is my new hero- holy camoly... 300k gambled away, now that's some strong beliefs in... lady luck. father saka should punished severely, by allocating another 300k into his venture fund, so he can make amends for his blip. surely with the help of catholic church he can recoup his losses.

Wow.....I really do not believe this story...it is just not possible that a person of religion would do something so heinous.....no church would take money from the poor and desperate would they? ....next you'll be telling me that people are being killed in the name of religion or priests being involved in abuse and then covering it up.......would just never happen.....never...

wow a priest caught gambling well its quite deffirent news today eh.i better go check some of church her perhaps there are alot more gambling actvities going on maybe i could join instead....
