i see this very often. certain players just dont believe you hit trips or even four of a kind. if they hit, or holding pockets in their hand, it can be a nice pot. some probably think you bluff and dont wanna show weakness, even if they hit nothing, or whatever is in their mind..? or they try to bluff and reraise you with nothing. i always thought its a bad board, but often got proven wrong. i like this boards

Trapping in poker will be a hugely rewarding skill when utilized effectively and could be equally self-destructive when utilized incorrectly. Being able to trap perfectly and avoiding the risk of getting trapped yourself will have a positive effect on your bankroll in a long run. It might be beneficial to save trapping opportunity for situations where it is virtually impossible for your hand to get caught.

I think you played this hand perfectly and congrats to you on doing so. If you had made a bet on the flop you would have definitely lost your customer. I think i would have to call your river bet if i was holding a full house

It is a classic move to check these hands and wait for your opponent to start betting and raising. You are even begging that they have a good hand. like a full house in this case to make it easier to call you big raise or all in. It doesnt always work though, cause some times they just have the worst possible cards and the hand ends, getting nothing at all. It drives you crazy

I see often too at the tables, that a Opponent didn´t fold, because he believes you make only a Conti bet or he is comitted into the pot. It´s not easy to handle sometimes, but a check is not really a good idea and so is a big raise an Option to protect your hand.
