What a bunch of bastards. The idea that anyone would break into Doyle's home and Rob him and threaten his wife is just so damned wrong to me. The man is a senior citizen and has had a very hard life. Leave him and his family in peace.

well at least the thieves got something for their work- let's just hope that brunsons neighbour had more than 4000 to make the thieves happy, or maybe he was just as good actor as brunson and got away by faking a diarrhoea attack and pointing out to the fact that all of his money is covered in..... One would think that instead of a handgun - which is definitely not the safest weapon of choice in a hand of an 83 years old man - he would pay for a personal bodyguard. Only for the entering/leaving periods for his sessions.

I am so relieved to hear that Doyle Brunson is alright. I think his residence is located in Southwest Las Vegas, where there are a number of exclusive, affluent gated communities built within private golf courses. I wonder how and when these perpetrators sneaked into this seemingly secure and secluded neighborhood.

Some poor guy gets robbed in his own home and the news is that it could have been (a selected) one of three pok players that live nearby. Give the poor robbery victim a bit of respect!

You just took the word out of my mind and wrote it a lot better than i could. I 100% agree with you that this is a news that have absolutely nothing to do with poker.
There are home robbery every day's and we could say the same to all of them. The third home athe the right of the one rob is a lot ritcher and known than him so they probably it the wrong house.

yes indeed as bowie pointed out- mr. brunson can hire a bodyguard and be safe even with ~150 pounds black dudes lurking in the restroom. however he can go other way and for example learn karate skills from flashfaust himself, or just buy a bazooka instead of handgun and a tank instead of his car.

I honestly cannot understand when these people really never cheap out on degen personal bets, luxury hotels, expensive hookers and holidays, blings and blow etc. but when it comes to hiring a driver or bodyguard or a personal assistant they are pretending that these are something they couldn't afford.
