2016 WSOP Main Event: Nguyen Leads Final 3 With Massive Stack!

On Monday, five players returned for the second day of the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event - where the winner will take home over $8,000,000! Qui Nguyen started the day with twice the stack of his closest opponent, but he got off to a rough start and doubled up Michael Ruane (started day 2 with the smallest stack) already on the fourth hand. However, Nguyen remained out in front despite th[...]   Read more » 2016 WSOP Main Event: Nguyen Leads Final 3 With Massive Stack!

ah well at least now we have a top 3, and even though the small stack has ~4 times less than the chip leader, he is still rather deep with 41bbs. so there's still a lot to play for and really anyone who keeps his cool and gets a bit of luck when it matters can win this one.

this very difficult for the 2rd and 3rd fight this monster stack, plus the game is as it has very skill in front

no doubt that Nguyen has advantage... he have nice stack, and he knows how to put pressure on players... some of them even lay down best hand against him... for now evrything is going his way, but I would like Vayo to win...just Cliff to finish third and I would be sattisfied

Huge congratulations to Qui Nguyen, Cliff Josephy, and Gordon Vayo, who secured a top 3 spot in this year's WSOP main event. It has been a great final table. I eagerly look forward to watching the replay on YouTube.

Qui Nguyen has a massive chip lead and i think he would be very disappointed if he doesnt go onto win this event and become champion of the world. I look forward to see who does win it

Hey guys! I'm gonna try to watch the whole final table today to catch up... Blink

Is it a snooze fest since Will Kassouf has been eliminated? Are the players playing ABC poker or are they getting creative for the most important final table of their career? I wonder what I would do. Agressivity is great but it can be turned against you so you have to pick your spots wisely. I'm sure it's easy to have regrets for every little mistake that you do when the $ is so huge!

The playmaker Andre Akkari, for example, made a resounding praise for the chip leader on Twitter, at the end of the day: "The vast majority of the pots that nobody hits go to Nguyen, no use, is striding to victory ". Cliff Josephy and Gordon Vayo were more patients, especially when Ruane was short stack in 4-handed.

Small was relative here. After all desite their stacksizes these three were millionaires right away, so they were just battling out who gets what and when.

There was one particular hand worthy of notice. It was Cliff Josephy's 22 vs Gordon Vayo's 33 (hand #171). They both hit a set on flop and Gordon Vayo won a huge 203,600,000 (170 big blinds) pot, leaving Cliff Josephy with just 9,800,000 (8 big blinds). That was a severe blow to Cliff Josephy.

I don´t view the live channel the last days but it seems that Nguyen had a mnassive stack in the final days. I heard nothing about the winner, but normally the massive leader played to agressive at the end of the tourney.
