Lucky PLO hand  +1
https://www.boomplayer.com/21738554_814D4ED7BB

I just played this Smile It's a decent starting hand but calling the 4bet was probably a mistake most of the time but I knew we would be 3 way so it gave me decent odds. I was lucky to hit a flop like this and be the only one with a flush draw. With that flop it was clear to me that I couldn't fold so I was happy to be the first to bet after the flop.

I don't think you can see the % on boom player but when we all ended up all in on the flop I was a pretty big favorite (53% 3 way) and on the turn I had them both drawing completly dead Big Smile

Good luck guys!

TheMachine. I love Omaha, and watched this hand with great interest. I thought the betting was interesting and am interested to know what was going through your mind post flop when the first player checked. You made a half pot sized bet enticing the others to play with you drawing (but pot committed) , and then the guy with AA raised and you called and were now all in! Just curious to know what your thoughts were. Great outcome to the hand for you though(I love it when players think AA is going to win in Omaha!)

It was a very nice pot for you and well done for that. I don't think i would have called the original raise with that hand and would never have called the 4bet but sometimes you just feel like gambling. Well done again

You were lucky indeed. That was a very bad hand played there Smile
From start to finish. You just gambled all your buy in in one hand and you got it.
You wont have too many outcomes like this with the same game play in omaha.
So you better rethink your strategy Smile

I have to agree with you for the most part. But this was a pretty interesting spot. It may look donkish but you know at this level when people 4bet they almost always have AA which makes them predictable. If I don't connect with the fllop I can still fold and keep my 4$.

When he checked instantly after the flop I knew there wasn't much he could hit on this flop with a AAxx hand. That's why I was happy to bet considering I could be the only one with an 8 and also the only one with a flush draw. If no one has a set (which seems more likely on a 2 3 8 board like this) or 2 pair + a better flush draw than mine then I can't be in trouble. The other guy called with absolute air hoping to get a runner runner straight or something. My play wasn't the worst in this hand Blink

I can follow your reasoning for the hand, but i am still a bit baffled about the amount you did bet at the flop. This half pot bet put one opponent all in while it left you with a few cent. Looked really strange

Hey Shokaku! Do you play PLO?

To be honest in that spot post flop the sizing didn't really matter because it's either all in or nothing after the flop. I can't bet smaller and fold after, and shoving doesn't make me look stronger than betting half the pot. So I just went for the weird bet trying to look like I hit a set of 8.

Here's another hand I played today I don't know what my opponent had but I connected with that board pretty nicely:

So you had him for AA and yet you reraised him preflop? Smile
And what about if he had suited aces of diamonds? Or someone else had the K of diamonds?
Just hope you are gonna keep hitting like this, chasing your hands. Smile

Of course it's always a possibility, but you know I've had my aces cracked by similar hands many times too. I folded trip aces and trip queens on the turn yesterday after hitting top set on the flop... I'm not a maniac. On that flop I was hoping to either be the only one with a flush or that hit a pair (cause then there's a lot of turns that can help me) but it turns out I had both...

I wasn't really chasing in that spot. If the guy would've c-bet jammed I would've had a lot tougher decision. But in this case I'm the one that made a move post flop.I thought I had some fold equity there but it looks like I didn't cause they called with absolute garbage (on that flop) and I was happy to see the percentages when they did.
