Here is the result of the 120,000 hands played by AI Libratus against four pro poker players.

As you will see this is the end of this experience and no one pro could beat the computer.

Now for the near future what can we expect from AI. I just hope that it will serve to the good but with human we never know. Question Question Question

As we see only dong kim was a decent match for libratus bu even he showed negative numbers, what I saw from the video posted on their experience in other post about libratus is that poker pros we not playing comfortably, they had to play for some hours in a row even when playing baf, and they said they would quit in this situation when online, but still I am more than impressed with AI

I was sure that the computer will be able to beat the living people, price .. if you can beat the strongest chess players of the other computer can do the same in poker ... of course this is very sad but it seems the era is approaching the terminator Worship

It would appear this is as unfair or rather inequitable test as the human decision making to stop when playing badly was not allowed to take effect. This is the major finding from this scenario. The humans, who have human will, were denied this right as the robot was not able to make human decisions of will.

The previous results you had posted was an indication of the final result.
And they wont stop here.
They will make this one even better Smile
And i really hope that what pinotte is saying will happen with AI's. But who knows....

yeah as few mobbits pointed out and as we saw from the video StheP posted in other libratus thread, this whole AI vs humans battle was really set up in a way that AI/computer/bot had a big advantage since dudes playing against it had no chance to use a routine they are comfortable with- maybe they weren't even allowed to use thei toilet and were sh1tting under the chair... and the smell also had something to do with them making -ev decisions... not arguing the fact that ai is pretty capable though and will be even more so in the future.

Let's just give them the nuclear codes already and get on with it. Seven and half billion people is way too much for this planet anyway...

I too watched the video that pochui is talking about and I too heard players saying that they were forced to play long hours and couldn't even go and eat food at some times, so they were clearly not in a comfortable situation and didn't deliver their best performance, but AI was also just made before the challenge so it is still not the best ai can do

The rules of the game were certainly set before it started and accepted by players involved.

However being a pro losing to a bot is not to good for the ego and for sure they will find all kind of thinks to explain the situation.

Bu if they had beat the bot you would not hear any complaints from them. Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

Did they ever screened a goddamn Terminator movie in Russia during your lifetime or you just really having a tough time to understand sarcasm?

I bet playing schedule had been really hectic for the poker pros.
The result suggests that Libratus not only had more computing power, but also a sophisticated algorithmic approach to the game, particularly the way it deals with imperfect information.
