rummy online?  0
I love playing rummy, gin, canasta, and some other variations of the game. I understand that it's more popular in Europe than in North America, and that's fine. But I was surprised to see a rummy forum here at BRM at all. The forum seems to have gone stale.

Is anyone out playing card games other than the usual casino games online for real stakes? I'd love hear about a few sites to look into.

I used to play backgammon online for real stakes, at play65.com, but the rake was brutal and every time I rolled what I needed, or doubles, the opponent would scream that the site was fixed. You think the river whining is bad on poker sites? It was unbelievable in the backgammon world.

I myself for quite some time searched the Internet for a game of long backgammon for money .... but all my searches were unsuccessful ... I found only different questionable sites and certainly did not risk playing there for money ... and I know how to play backgammon very much and can Play pretty well Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

I also love a good game of rummy and would be very interested to learn of sites that you can play on. There are many other card games i like playing and, with being housebound, would love to play against different people

I´ve played rummy on a site with the name Rummy Royal some years ago. It was a interesting game and it makes fun to play a other game than poker the hole time. But i don´t had the time for studying the rules of the game Big Smile

There was a site rummyroyal mentioned here in this forum a while ago, but I don't see it any more. I see a few others with a simple google search, but wanted to see if any mobsters were playing anywhere. I don't want to deposit money to some shady site. And I'm lazy so don't want to research them all.

Our backgammon which we call tavli has three different variations.
Its not the same game over and over again Smile
Thats the main one, some add a fourht variation, but this is not very popoular.
Playing the same game in real life, in a row is quite boring

In Russia the game of backgammon is quite populous ... at least in it offline play is much more than poker ... all my friends know how to play backgammon, but I'm no longer very interested in playing with friends because I play stronger than them ... And it's interesting to play with new people ... especially for money

It is popular here also. It is the most popular board game in the country.
But as i said it has three variations.
And i dont know anyone here that would play this game, "the backgammon played online"
all the time.
It would have been like "groundhog day" Smile

I used to play rummy quite a lot as a kid, with regular games going down at the riding room table with family and friends taking part. What a great social event they were. I haven't however seen rummy online. I'm not sure I would look to play it even if I did cos I think it would tarnish my lovely childhood memories.

Backgammon is absolutely not popular in Lithuania, i think that 99% of people have heard nothing abiut this game or thatnis exists at all, I am in this small amount of 1% people who know that such game is played but not tired it and dont even know then rules

Me too, but time is really not on my side to be honest. The little time I can spend on my hobbies/recreational activites I feel wasted when I just spending it playing cards.

But why not play board games after a day of active rest and movement? .... For example, during the evening during a barbecue, you can play cards or backgammon with friends and acquaintances so that after an active holiday you also have to deal with intellectual or gambling games

i too remember back in the days i tried to play on the rummyroyal site, there was some no deposit bonus to try out the games and it was well advertised, i believe $10 free or sth like that, so i gave it a shot and not liked what i saw, never came back, there was very little action/dudes on the platform, and now you see it's gone out of business...

Hey, that sounds like 80% of the online venues during weekdays. They need every gambler they could reach to stay in business. Big Smile
