Freerolls  0
Hi once again.

I'm making this post to figure out your several opinions on how to play freerolls.

My strategy is getting in late reg. when I have only 20 BB or less and shove AK or higher or high pockets like 88 or higher.
After 1 or 2 double ups I start playing thigh.

How do you play yours?

I see a lot of your messages on the dude's forum ... why suddenly do you have such activity? ... you registered for a long time but before I saw you on the forum ... maybe I just did not pay attention, but then I see a lot of your messages ... what happened? Confused
P.S. I play freerolls in different ways Big Smile

I think it depends on the prize pool, prize structure, field size, blind structure, etc., of a freeroll tournament. It also depends on whether you are looking to minicash or go deep in the tournament.

I registered in this website in 2012 only interested in the free bankrolls.
But now that I play for 8 years, I try to gather the most useful info on how to play my hands.
I read a lot about everyday in several websites, watch some online streaming of known good players and read about opinions of known players as well.

I have finally realized that BankrollMob ain't just about bankrolls and the users really are helpful and interested in discussing their thoughts.

Ty you all ..... for sharing your experiences.

PS: I choose to enter in later reg. of tourneys 'cause this way I get less of those initial donk allin's with J10 off and A7 off.

Hey H4rmony!

I think the best argument for late registering isn't about donkeys at all. Donkeys are a good thing especially if you play tight ABC poker... But late registration saves time. Poker freerolls usually have pretty bad $ return for your time invested, so investing less time kinda makes sense. But you do lose an edge by having a short stack you're always 1 hand away from being out of the tournament. So when you want to play a serious game, It's best to start playing at the begining to be able to start building a stack asap.

I play different in freerolls because one freeroll us not the same as a other freeroll. Different sites, different amount of players and different prizes, and different structures so cannot say one strategy that is good everywhere, but best is to analyze your game and use what works for you

I think that we all have different ways of playing freerolls and they differ greatly. Me personally, i like to try and double up very quickly and just sit back and watch the carnage unfold. You need a lot of luck that's for sure.

yeah, like Gerimantas say, every site and every freeroll is different,so you must what type of players are there, how big payout is,is there bounty on every player maybe,so many different things!but yeah, lot of people play on everything, because they think, yeah its freeroll,so who cares!

hello H4Rm0Ny, this is a good question, i play a lot of freerolls, since i just like playing poker and not having my own money at risk, and freerolls offer me this chance to win something and spending some free time playing the game i enjoy. i often follow your strategy- register late, on the last minute and try to double up with good starting cards by going all in. but if freeroll is with less players and not turbo with little chips, i play from the start.

Ty for your opinions.

I have to differ from the value of the prize-pools as well.
If it is $250 prize-pool or bigger I also want to play it from the start, but obviously I'm gonna catch those newbies who are used to play chips and not money, and that's what I try to avoid in low prize-pool tourneys, overall because of the donk benefiting in some poker rooms, and all the luck they have getting to bubbles and FT's.

But even in massive prize-pool freeroll's you can find some strange playing, and I wonder how do they get to the FT's Big Smile

Check this video and you'll know what I'm talking about just by watching the 1st hand

Like yesterday, unibet had great freeroll with prize pool and bounty for every player 0,05 e!but you cant play normal, when on my big raise with 10 10 on later on all with A high somebody pay with 8 9 or something like this!

Yes it is a good point, the bigger the prize-pool, the more i also think about starting to pay this kind of freeroll from the start. You can even think of this freeroll as a real money buy-in tournament, since there is a lot of money to be won, but also i look how many players are playing and if it is a turbo/hyper turbo tournament.

if the prize pool is big or some good prizes at stake like the bankrollmob leaderboard then ill play a bit more 'tighter'....if its something like the stars pokerschool one then im all in first hand. I use the late reg tactic mostly for tournament games. however for the freerolls on mira i late reg and usually thats close to in the money already

well since i mostly play freerolls when i have been fcuked in the sng's, mtt's or cash games and i have no money left to even buy into the crappy $0.02 mtt or sth similar i enter with the only goal of fcukin others with some rag hands... you know to let the frustration out... having a laugh or two when kicked out dudes with pocket aces or kings holding 26 off

There are many opinions on how to play freerolls. The best strategy seems to be o go all in with any two cards all of the time. You are statistically bound to hit a run eventually and then you are quids in and have pizzed off everyone else so much at your table that they just give up and let you win! That's of course assisted by the Rigged status of poker anyway!

I play freerolls differently depending on the prize pool, amount of players in the running and also the structure of the tournament. Sometimes just like you I too register late and try to double up or go bust

I sometimes use strange strategy just for fun or to see if such moves work and then I maybe can play real tournament using thus strategy. So i play in some freerolls only with bad starting hands, in some only eith paur, sometimes only with when there is no raise in front, sometimes only go allin

Yes Gerimantas what you are doing business the right thing, maybe you do it on purpose or not but trying to change your strategy and always analyse what works and what doesn't really helps you game to improve and I think leads to a lot better results
