Taxes and legality of online Poker in Luxembourg  0
Hi,

so i am from Luxembourg and maybe someone can help me with my concerns about how legal online poker and withdrawals are in Luxembourg and how it is about the Taxes one have to pay if it is on a regulary base. I couldn`t find any real response on the internet and Pokerstars says that they don`t allow online Poker in Countries where it is forbidden?

Thanks for all the answers.
With best regards Smile

If you cant find that information online, only fellow citizens can help you with that.
There must be some agency you can call and ask the right questions.
Also check tie online wallets to see if you can use them.

Hi, Hiesy.
You recently moved (back) to Luxembourg from Germany? Are you residing in Luxembourg temporarily? If you are planning to stay permanently in Luxembourg you might want to consider reverifying and updating your profile information at your earliest convenience.
I hope our fellow mobsters will be able to assist you in clarifying your concerns.

Yes I can access and play Poker with a luxembourgish connection so i think it is legal to play. Now there is the problem with the taxes from a withdrawal if there are any or not want to be on the sure site with that.
I am luxembourgish but lived in Germany because of the universitity.

I dont know what you have in Luxembourg but here we have a govt department which is in every city where you can walk in and get info at the front desk, or just ring them for free. obviously it will mean declaring your income etc but you probably only have to do it once a year

well thinking logically if you cant find any information online then we probably cant find any information online either, so in regards with your question about taxes i suggest you contacting local tax authority and they will provide you with the links to the law which regulates winnings from gambling and poker in precise, or maybe even give you a quick answer face to face.

You need to search the Luxembourg national gambling office on the internet. There you will find some answers but i think for Taxes you must send an email and ask that or whatever else you need. Pokerstars can not answer this question because it works in many countries and differs from country to country.

probably when you open normally pages from poker sites, then you dont have problem!and about banks,if you have problem, you can always make cashouts on skrill and then on bank account and nobody would know is it from gambling or something else!

hello new player, in this country you can find the information on the government site (the ones where you pay taxes). so maybe your country did the same and you can look it up. we have to pay a lot of tax if you win, i hope it will be lower in your country, which is likely the case. have a good time at the poker tables and don't forget to cash out now and then!

If you have Skrill/Neteller as digital wallets then just ask for a card from them and you will have direct access to your money. The goverment will probably able to look after those as well if they are gonna deeply inspect you one day but that is very unlikely.

That's cool! I believe Germany abandoned tuition fees altogether for German and international students alike. Free high-quality education for all!
One of my friends goes to art school in the US and the cost of tuition and fees is over $35,000 (which is probably more than her annual living expenses!) per year.

As it seems to me on this forum you will not be helped with your question ... try to ask a professional lawyer .... this question is quite complicated and it's probably quite difficult to find out the truth .... especially if you did not find the answer in the Internet !!! !! Attorney will help
