Surely only small fish compared to the big guys, looking at you Ivey, but at least they were smart enough to take the money, and not set themselfes up for some counterswindle by the casinos. This Punto Banco game, or the deakers there, seems to be quite vulnerable for such tricks.

That reminded the case with ivey indeed.
Dealers in casinos, must be very careful when dealing in such games,
Especially the ones held in private rooms Smile
But i doubt they will hold them responsible if something comes up.
Losing their jobs maybe, which of course is not something taking light.

Actually the whole story sounds very doubtful. Distracting the dealer to tamper with the shoe? Yeah, maybe doable once, but doing it repeatedly over a few month time? Very unlikely. This just does not add up.

Interesting news .... but then of course there are several options of truth ..... or in fact the players committed fraud and cheated the casino ..... or there is such an option that the casino just wants to return the money and tries to prove what was not ... my opinion

It looks like a few more days and and another tactic appears how to cheat casinos. I'm really glad for the guys who manage to do that and i hve big respect for those who manage to escape unpunished.
I do not know if these boys will escape but I hope they will go out innocent and the money stays in their pockets.

You see these sort of things happening in very cheesy Casino films but it is the first time i have heard of it happening in a British casino. I look forward to seeing how this plays out

This article poses the question of advantage play versus cheating. In 2016 UK court ruled gambler's advantage play constitutes cheating. So a gambler does not necessarily have to do something dishonest, illegal, or immoral to be considered fraudulent.

Why this is not doable, Not once or twice, that i have seen a dealer alone, working.
In some casinos there is always a floor manager assigned to tables, so besides the
dealer, he is supervising also like a few tables around him.
But there are instances, that you can see only the dealer.
Is it really that hard to distract them, when you have a group going in the scheme?

well since this a group of dudes involved and the operation took 4 months or so and the amount stolen is only at around 200K I must admit that this is really not a big operation, when they split the profits not sure they were so enthusiastic about the results.

Of cause it would not be life changing, but if 4-5 guys are involves it still would be 10k per month per person. And this would only be this one casino. Even more, if they were able to pull the stunt somewhere else too.

I do not quite understand your idea or just an incorrect translation ..... that is, if I won any win I play unfairly ???????? ..... and only losses in the casino are true ?????? ..... how it seems to me that there is something wrong .... could not explain my idea a little or send a link to the information about this court? .... thanks

Here is the definition of ‘advantage play.’

“Advantage gambling, or advantage play, refers to legal methods, in contrast to cheating in casinos, used to gain an advantage while gambling.”
“Unlike cheating, which is by definition illegal, ‘advantage play’ or ‘advantage gambling’ exploits innate characteristics of a particular game to give the player an advantage relative to the house or other players. While not illegal, advantage play is often discouraged and some advantage players may be banned from certain casinos.”

It's doable if the guy who was on 'camera duty' looked away. They probably needed more evidence about the scheme and the mole thats why it took months to end it.

Not a problem, pajalnick. Googling is my hobby.
It was also my first time I encountered the term “advantage play.” We all learn new things everyday. We all learn from each other at forum. Good luck with your game.

Yes it is very strange situation to me, this was going for long time, some months and casino didn't see this and people who created this scheme had make some money ok not super big money but still some good money from this situation.

It was a well organized one, that is why it lasted that long.
But at the end, it can take forever.
It will be shown in their books.
They are keeping track on what they earn, from what game etc.
When they see, losing that much, something is going wrong Smile

They were smart about not going after big money right away. 200k is something but over multiple months it should not cause a hiccup in the casino books.

Yep. 200k over a few month period shoudn't be that much money for a larger casino. They can win/lose more from/to a whale in a single session. So conclusion again: something doesn't add up.

Big Smile I also sometimes wonder when people are interested in me than what and my answer - you were banned in Google? ... but in this case I was afraid that when using Google translator could lose the meaning of the phrase .... and then my request to google would give Not at all what I need ... good luck
