I requested transit visa to canada because I am traveling to punta cana through Canada... and I send all documentation that I needed and today I recived that I was rejected for "temporary resident visa"... I didnt requested temporary resident vise... I requested transit visa... and they said that I am missing documentation for: at who I will stay at canada and his income and assets, my income and assets... all all kind of things that you need to give when you are applying for resident visa... these document doesnt need for transit visa... I am so pissed off... so what I assume it happend is... that this guy in vienna that was proccesing my aplication tought that I was requesting resident visa... and he didnt see that it says transit visa and rejected me... he is stupid AF!!!now canadian visa centar in serbia isnt working for weekend, and I send mail to visa centar in vienna... now I have to wait monday to see what to do, and if I cannot get this transit visa, I will have to change my flight and go throught Paris direct to punta cana, and pay a lot more....

Some people are just garbage. They do it intentionally or out of frustration i do not know. You had to tell them that you would go there only to be able to transit and that you want to get to a poker tournament with big buy in. Maybe in this way will let you pass. I do not know if there is time now to do this but you had to tell them from the start of that tournament and they probably accepted it. I hope everything will be fine at the end. Good Luck with that

I requested transit visa... with that visa I cannot leave airport transit zone... and I stated that in letter also... I didnt told them that I am playing big buy in tournament, but if I had to appl again I will do so...well my hands are tied until monday

you sure you need a transit visum for the airport you just hop from one plane to another i guess...
anyways, get your visum "online"!? goes quick.
yeah... even if I am in transit and doesnt leave transit zone of airport, I need transit visa for: USA, Canada, Great Britain, New Zeland, and one more country... I cant remember...

you bought a "around the world" ticket or what lol ? you never even come close to new zealand. dom rep = caribbean. new zealand = located below australia. hope you didnt buy some kind of smuggler ticket and end up in congo collecting bananas

Blame the RCMP and CSIS, it's probably one of their undercover patsies working at the embassy and ruining it for you. If you want to know how a country like Canada can lack so much innovation while residing beside the greatest economic engine in history, look no further. Not even their own agents trust them nor Canadians or Americans so why should you?

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble obtaining a visa. Visa application process can be really hectic, frustrating, and lengthy. I hope your issue will get resolved soon. Punta Cana is waiting for you!

well if I dont get visa, it will only complicate things, because I will probably have to change tickets and go through Paris...because I dont need visa for France...

I didnt want to write when you posted that you have tickets with stop in canada?why didnt you buy tickets from belgrade to punta cana,with one stop in frankfurt?you have not this tickets from less then 1000 e per person!and also you could buy tickets from any airport from germany for less money and then just to come to germany with other plane,bus or whatever!and it would be much easier! and do you know that you need tourist card to enter in dominican republic?it cost 10 $ per person!

there is no direct flight from frankfurt... there was only 2 options... cheaper one like this through canada that cost me ~850e and in that time through Paris that cost ~1400e... you see now why I got that ticket? xD and I know I need tourist visa for dominican republic that I get on their airport at cost of ~10$

yes you have flights with condor and it cost less then 1000 e,from belgrade!you go from belgrade to frankfurt and then you wait for few hours and go to punta cana! and you dont need to take tourist card at airport,because you will lose lot of time!you buy online and just print it !when I showed that at munich airport at air berlin check in,two women didnt even know that this exist and they work for flight to punta cana!

dule trust me... I check all agency and there is no direct flight from frankfurt... there is only flights belgrade-frankfurt-montreal... or belgrade-paris-punta cana... trust me, I check evry online agency

I know what I am talking about and I have a lot experience with traveling!YES,YOU HAVE flights from frankfurt!dont know what online agency you are talking about,but who travel with agency!?you buy tickets from air companies or on sites who sell tickets!and try on skyscanner simulation for that dates and you will find flights

I check all... fly fly travel, aviokarte, and all that we have in serbia... they all use same search ticket engine, and you can go and search... there is no direct flight from frankfurt to punta cana...maybe there is fligh but not on that date...

that is impossible...maybe if that ticket is in one way...than ok... put dates 18november that you are going, and returning on 26th november... and see prices... I look at all sites, now and now my ticket is 1400e and through paris is 1850e also there is ticket through USA that cost like 1500e... I payed mine like month ago 850e and 1 hour earlier it was like 795e, I missed that... also I talked to travel agent (friend of my friend) and she told me that these offers are best that I will get...
------------ well now I collected all documents, and even I have party poker signed letter guaranteed for me that I will play main event and signed, also I have hotel reservation that i will send to them also, and I took my bank account statment that I have ~5ke on my bank account, and I told them all about this in letter that I am sending with documentation... I will maybe go tommorow or day after it to canadian visa centar in belgrade to give them documents for checking and to send them to vienna... hopefully I will get this time that transit visa...
you just hop from one plane to another i guess...
