On Tuesday, Americas Cardroom announced a major expansion of its processing options. In the coming weeks, the US-facing online poker site will accept over 60 of the top cryptocurrencies for deposits, with withdrawals following soon after.
The expansion comes after over a year of welcoming Bitcoin. "We are strong believers and supporters of blockchain technology and we've been welcoming Bitcoin fo[...] Read more » Americas Cardroom Will Soon Accept Over 60 Cryptocurrencies

I think that it males perfect business sense to do this and try to accommodate every possible scenario. I think that their business can only grow from now on and the tournaments will become even bigger

As getting money to the poker rooms has always been the main problem for players from the US, at least since the banning of online poker, offering more deposit options, that can't be easily cut off by governments or banks, is a smart decision.

I'm having some fun at this room, some friends don't even knew it was possible to play there in my country. But after reading so much about this subject, i still didn't get very well the true global importance of criptcoins, perhaps because i don't find it's use on low budget mass online stores. As long as this brings more fish to my net, it's always great news.

wow kinda hard time even picking what cryptocurrency to pick for your next deposit... and when you just about decided to use one over other you see that all of the sudden you deposit has halved just because... hard time with all of those crypto options...

I personally didn't know that there is so many cruptocurrencirs to pick from, and i don't know why to have so much options just to make a deposit. Even bitcoin looks strange to me, and now 60 other options? Not even thinking about making deposits in such cryptocurrencies.

The number of different coins is approaching 1000. And as long as the new releases are traded on exchanges, those numbers will only grow ever more. If this is a healthy situation is another question.

So the normal currencies werent good enough, and now they are adding all these? Like bitcoin isnt enough for a gambling site.
What i like here is this. Many sites are imposing measures questioning where your USD or euro deposit came from, trying to prevent as they claim money laundering etc. What now with all the cryptocoins They will be ok with it?

Pick the ones which you won't be sorry for when lost. Having to deal with this many crypto will certainly gain some interest from hackers as well. If they could hack into multiple crypto wallets (as they did in the past) they could handle a poker room as well.

honestly.. money laundry! is the first thing that came in my mind. you may lose a bit in poker but at end the money is clean. just like the mafia does with sportsbets. betting on same game with good odds (one on win, one on lose), you lose some money but you get clean money.

It's good news to me. I have not been playing on Americas Card Room for a long time due to their limited deposit and withdrawal options. Hopefully, one or more of my cryptocurrency accounts will soon become usable on ACR.

That is what im thinking about. That they will turn a blind eye, when it comes to crypto coins and start accepting deposits no matter what. Can they prove (sites) if someone is laundering money with crypto coins? I dont think so.

Of cause they can not prove it. But if a poker room / online casino gets a deposit via credit card or e-wallet instead of some crypto coins, it can't prove that either. Actually no normal business could do this.

It is definitely a very good decision for Americas Cardroom but it will not take too long so the other poker rooms will imitate them. So it has been going on for years in online poker. How someone appears with a new game, offer, or promotion the others copy it.

You only have to look at Mobers post to see, that cryptos are viewed as shady stuff. So i doubt that the bigger rooms like Stars, bwin.party and 8-8-8 will introduce that in the near future. Smaller rooms/networks, espacialy if they face towards the US, may actualy do it.

We should be healthy and we will see this. The money chase is very intense and will not get rid of anything to attract new players. Everyone wants money and probably in the future we will also see interest-bearing loans. This is possible because we are living in a world that is increasingly worse than money. The future will decide who is right.
