its not real,you can only play so many days and lose on the river every time to a 1 or 2 outer,AA,KK,QQ,all losing to K-7,9-4,Q-69-3,etc,i have now decided that variance is a myth,if your me its lose lose lose,every time,need to have a break from donkey poker....lol...

well all of us are getting 1 and 2 outer for couple of times for day... its just poker, what you have to do is to learn how to be profitable even when those suckouts happend, take a break, watch some coaching videos, and than try again, you need to improve your game always
It is all in your psych. When you get the out you need you consider it a natural occurence since you 'played that hand well' when your opponent does it then 'variance taking it's toll'... I am serious. Each players brain registering these things differently but we should treat them as same nevertheless.

It is never a nice feeling when you keep getting drawn out on. You can have many runs like these when you think the whole world is against you and nothing goes right but it all evens itself out over a period of time

variance can only be felt if you constantly play the same game, same limits and have lots of volume, then luck evens out and just your quality shows. but if you hop from one game to another, say from cash to sngs then mtts etc. or from lower stakes to higher then you don't have enough volume on one particular option and variance can look differently in your eyes

I guess I am not the only person who have suffered from inevitable variances in the game of poker. Despite occasional setbacks, I have managed to minimize losses and maximize profits over a few years. Maybe I am just the lucky one!

I think all people who play poker habe this situation like you say too, they have some bad periods when you lose more and it looks like you cannot lose but still lose, so after such periods you think that something is wrong with game and maybe you can dtop playing, but later lick comes and all is good again

I know this feeling and it's very frustrating. You have good cards and you lose with amateurs players or too stupid. That's what makes you or anothers peoples too disgusted by their style of play. These donkeys would be worth it to be penalized somehow but that can not be done. We have to play with these players and we can not do something about how they play.
