To support an asphyxiating job ostracism I started playing online poker. Since I knew absolutely nothing and just wanted to hang out with something more interesting than a loner, I played virtual money in PS. He spent it super, it was "real" people, he chatted and played cards. I started to feel ashamed to lose so often, so I started to read a little, to understand and to win. When I arrived at the million virtual chips, I was stung by the little bug to win something less virtual and I kept calculating how metal my "toy" chips could become. My prejudices prevent me, even today, from spending money from my low salary at stake (... not taking bread from my daughters mouth !!!) so I looked for free bankroll and started playing in other rooms less "pro" that PS. In PartyP I got a bankroll of u$s 50 (2010), and I was fighting a long time without losing it completely, but I understood that poker was something serious and had to devote time and much study. Improved work, I stopped playing daily and since then, when I have periods with extra time (3 or 4 months a year), I return to this fascinating world. As I never learned much in a systematic way, but I do not like virtual money anymore, I found in the freeroll the exact space to play what I like, without guilt and, accumulating pennies, I already reach $ 1000. Now I face a new period of labor uncertainty and a retirement not so far away (5 years), so I return to look for teaching on this page and I hope to relaunch my "career" (snail formula!). a good occupation for a pensioner ..... a game of poker will help to keep the mind clear for a long time and perhaps because of age there are chances of a good game .... good luck with the game and hope to see messages on the winnings on the forum ... it's never too late to play poker

1,000 dollars is a great amount to start playing poker with the experience already gained. You read a little strategy and i hope you can make more money in future. I have not read poker strategy because I'm not patient, i get bored fast but she is very good for all. I recommend you to be more focused when you play to make more money.

It is not that easy lately to win money from freerolls. Not that it cant be done. But there arent too many out there with a good value. You will have to get lucky reaching a top position to win big. But you never know.
If you are taking advantage of tickets from depositing money, or other special offers, with less players in the game it might be easier, to win. Good luck with your new profession

its hard to collect money just from freerolls and to come to 1000 $ you need to play a lot of freerolls and to win lot of them!because you dont have so much of freerolls where prizes are so big!if you catch 500 $ or 1000 $ freerolls,this is great and there you can win bigger amounts!nice work for you

congratulations on the amount of money you won from free roll tournament I know how difficult is to get money I play the same free roll tournaments and I can say that I earned a good amount of money but I gambled on the slots I hope I will be smarter in the future

dule-vu it's not hard to accumulate $ 1000 because that money has been made over a period of years. It's about 5 years and that's about $ 200 a year. It's not really hard if you have a good room with acceptable freerolls. Is a good amount to play with care, to earn even more money. Good Luck maragatero.

You win the money in poker and then you request a cash out at some point. Or as soon as you can. The slots is the trap for many players. That is why so many sites with poker, proceeded adding slots. Besides the regular casino player they are trapping the poker ones

Hi Mober, I don´t like slots. I tryed with free money of some promotions and I never won. Worse yet, on lucky days after playing my free spins i have won something like $3 or 4...but I couldn´t cash out! Now I don´t take the free promotions of slot

I think so...There are fewer freerools and fewers rooms that offer it. In 2010 u$s 50 free bankroll was usually...all time past are better???

Hi dule-vu, many time, many freerolls...and every free offer! For example, tickets for big tournaments, spin the wheel, etc, etc. Anything with which I avoid spending my money and playing what I like!

Maragatero, since you capable to win in freeroll, I think you will more succeed in buy in tourney, because at freeroll so many player play gambling and you could handle it very well. Retired in 46 years old ? is your target or policy in your company/government ?

I do not have such a good experience in online poker because i do not know English well. That's why i do not have the patience to read or follow some poker strategy. Even so i've managed to gain little experience and i have a profit with poker approximate 2500 - 3000 dollars in total. You need to read a little strategy and watch some final tables resumptions in pokerstars with the cards on the face to understand what it is about. These final tables are good to watch and they helped me. Poker strategy is very good because you gain experience. I'll try to read in future a little bit. Good luck with your games men but watch out for amateurs because they are very dangerous.

Calicul my friend does not need you many poker strategies I think you need to play as many poker tournaments as you can you will get a lot of experience after that it is very easy of course also you should be lucky and patience That's all you need good luck my friend

Thanks Tony_MON7ANA, i think so. We need to love the way and no be ansious for the arrive. I love to play poker, i like to will be a better player and make money with it but...i love to play poker and any bad beat don´t break it. The variance is a part of it and an oportunity for learn about us.Why I don´t acept it? Why i don´t change my habits?...Regards! (maragatero-san)

Indeed, all of us that have started playing poker early, we remember the bankrolls of 50 USD in many poker sites. Some of them turned out in profit, some other didnt
As far as slots goes. you should look around all the casino offering no deposit bonuses. There are still quite a few with decent bankrolls and play through requirements, that are credible. You never know when you are going to win money from free promotions. And every bit helps

I unfortunately did not have time for such poker prilzheniya .... when I started playing poker I did not know about it almost nothing ... and I did not know about bonuses ... and so I registered at many poker rooms without bonuses .... and then it was too late to change something .... sad

I noticed of poker in tv show of Pokerstars...i loved it! Then I looked for it in internet... You have a good profit! Think that it pay for your pleasure to play, it´s a very good business! For the end, I´m an amateur for ever in a long learning´s way...careful with me! jajaja

maragatero, I like very much your way of making money through freerolls. I admire of your diligence, discipline and quality working. It also seems to me that you are not only a good poker player, but also potentially the best smelling poster here. $1000 is a pretty big sum, you know Good luck, try to play small penny tournaments in smaller rooms, like rooms from ipoker network. I'm sure you will be good there, as the players level is not high there.
