You're doing pretty well at Pot Limit Omaha tournament also.
Your online poker bankroll has been increasing gradually and steadily. That's very good. I'm 500% confident that you'll achieve your goals.

I would have updated last night but I was annoyed with myself and shut comp down.

Played a $5 mtt, it was a $500 added one with 150 players so took a shot, the extra $ made it worth it.

27th place started the paid places and was $17.xx

I was 30/32 and it was touch and go but I had been through the blinds and could have turtled to the cash.
As it was, I picked up AJ or something similar, cant remember what, but shoved, got called by worse and out-drawn.
I wanted to play for the big money.

On reflection, when rolled correctly this was absolutely the right move, 1st was $477 or something similar.
I am unsure on whether I should have held out for the smaller payout first then tried for a couple of double-ups or whether it was still the right play with low bankroll to shove.

Thoughts please?

In the BRM freeroll I won a couple of dollars but hands didn't hold up at vital times and with so many players, the value is a lot worse in them now and so I have to be happy with that.

BR: $46.30

it depends queen how much BB you had, what was your position, and how much chips had players around 27th place

Hardly any. I would have been limping to 27th and would have been pretty much blinded out and couldn't have done much at all.
Mathematically I should have pushed for sure, and probably a lot earlier.

For me though, I am wondering whether the $17 which would have added 1/3rd to my BR would have been waiting for

------------
Not much happened btw last night.
Played some small mtt's with no joy and made a small loss.

BR: $40.19 (which I am fairly happy with tbh at this point)

if you were 30/32 I assume you had a small stack so AJ is definitely a shove especially if you had big stacks on LP which can call with worse

Usually in such situations I watch other shortstacks and how much players are busting per minute. You mentioned that you had been through blinds, so I would very likely folded that hand.
GL in your challenge!

This wasn't clear situation. You're right - short time before ITM the shorstacks plays hilarious, but AJs is very tempting hand to double your bankroll... I don't know if I will play, or wait without emotions...

Missed playing for a couple of days, back on it tonight though!

------------
I must have missed an update as I dro;ped to $34 a couple of days ago.

Played a couple of games last night, a $5 mtt (with $500 added) which I had no luck in, and then 2 of the 18 man hyper bounty games.
Won one of them fairly easy, with bounties I took down $10.xx
So a small profit

Starting BR for today: $36.93

My aim is to get back up to $50 over this weekend and then push for $100 by end of month

Update:

a couple of bad days where I broke even, then last night was horrific. One of those nights where I kept getting my money in good then getting horridly outdrawn eg
aa v 44 aipf, rivered
aa v 55 aipf, rivered
ak v a2 aipf, rivered

you know how it goes sometimes.
BR: $19.93
Not time to panic but will focus on $1 bh sngs for next couple of days

Update on the month:

It was pretty up and down to be honest. I very quickly took my BR to $50. And that is when the problems started.
Lost just about every big hand after that.

My BR is down to $13.03 for a challenge total of $11.17 profit.

It has been a brutal start but I always expected it to be tbh.

That said, I have turned a 500% profit (have I calced that right?) and if I do that every month, this time next year I will be a miwwlionaire!

You calced it wrong Blink From $1.86 to $50 is almost 26 times more, it means over 2600%... If you will mantain progress (1.86 -> 50), after 4 months you will have almost ONE MILLION bucks. Yeah, maths don't lie Blink
And if we assume that progress is from $1.86 to $13.03, it means over 700% profit. That means, that you will earn one million in 6,5 months, that is pretty good Smile

of course it's interesting to watch how a person goes to his goal ... and although very slow steps but goes forward .... but it seems to me that such steps can go to the goal very very long ... of course I understand that poker for him is not more than hobby but ... YOU NEED TO INCREASE RATES

Good for you IceQueenAce!
You chose fighting above your bankroll and you did a good mark. You didn´t be carefull for the rules about 50/100 minimun Buy In of bank roll and you maked a profit nontheless. This is epics! You are a big girl and you know that, if you need to make some security field against variance you have to pay atention to your bankroll manage...so, be happy with your rush ride!
Congrats!

Sorry, I took a break from party for a while, especially from the updating here. I played freerolls and free tickets only, with the odd cheap game.

Update: I cashed for about $35 in a low stake MTT which took my BR up to $44.

The today, party had a sports promotion (I also make profits from sports bets) of spend $25 on a champions league game and get a $10 free bet for the Europa league tomorrow.

The bet won, putting my BR up to $67.93 and I still have the $10 free bet unused.

SATs are coming up at school so I am quite tied up at the moment, but I will ensure I play tomorrows freerolls well and maybe a couple of cheap games Smile

you put in a draw in the Champions League? ...... it seems to me that this was certainly a good bet ..... Bayern certainly rushed to win back home defeat but Real Madrid is Real ..... passion of Bavaria and pragmatism of Real gave a logical result 2-2 ..... my congratulations on the win and bonus Worship
