I hate many things with some poker players who have small pairs in hand 22, 33 etc... i raise with AK, AQ or AJ they pay. After the flop or turn raise more and more with A in flop they pay again and the river is set for them. What is the reason for which they do that? they know what cards are going to come on the table, wait for the set ? because it's grotesque what they do or they want to bluff around the river?

In the end they lost a lot money, they dont understand the game,so they will win sometimes but not in a long time of playing Poker.
When you play right and look for you own mistakes you make, and you work to be better so you make the mistake not a secound time, you will be better every year you play. And in the end you have a little bit profit with your hobby Blink

I have some amazing hands in Boom, where that kind of thing happens to me. Where they make me wonder if they always play like this, or is it something every so often to try to be unpredictable.

A few days ago, for example, I was playing in a regular game, Nlzoom5. From utg I open 3bb and the villain did 3-bet from utg + 1 to 9bb. I just call (AKo), I don´t remember exactly what was in the flop, but on river he got his card and won, not a lot but some money. He made 3 bet with 39s! He got his set on river.

well like many mobbits above told it there are many dues out there who make moves that makes no sense to most of us, but to be honest its their money so they have the perfect right to do whatever they want with it, even make totally silly moves, and maybe this cash is very small to them

Oh pochui my friend, they can also paint their rooms with juice of bucks, correctly crushed and blended with french champagne. Or melt some billions of quarter to make some abstract sculpture. Also they could continue donating their money to all of us, and I applaud it. But here are trying to chat about something like poker theory and player´s actitude, no about the personal freedom of waste their money....make a joke pochui, come! Big Smile

Ofcourse poker is not gambling,..
But to be fair there is some luck involved ofcourse,..
Cus we all know sometimes you behind,..and then get lucky with a nice river,..
But ofcourse 80 % is skill involved,..
Not like the slotplayers that need 100 % luck Big Smile

well, this is part of the game but often it is very frustrating. I tried this method but i usually lose it this way because the players who have a pair with A will pay when me bluff after river. It looks like this strategy is good for others but not for me. This is the situation and i have to move on.

No CALICUL if you are talking about playing follow the correct theory, don´t give up! Like all the schools and pros say: "In the long term, you win with the correct play". (certainlly there is no one pocket that resist a bad variance for a long term). In this term all the variance be in equilibrium and only will win the good play. I don´t want to think that you wrote about your attemps to play like a loose player, it isn´t it? You would loose and would be unhappy, don´t do it! Disagree

It is like that. One must analyze his game in the long term. In short terms it can have losses, but in the long term it recovers. And if you do not do it, it's because you're not doing things right, and you have to read again, review what you've learned. It hurts to lose those incredible hands at the moment, and you know that loose is going to end up losing money, sometimes against oneself (that's why you have to take notes), usually in front of others.

I speak in the long term and this will not be remedied because these players approaches a tactic that helps them win those hands with small pairs. Probably if i'm all in after the flop they are able to pay. I do not know what's going on. I will not do it in their style because i ruin fast. Confused

Yes CALICUL, I get it how do you feel when you lost with high cards. I´m always be afraid to recive top cards in the first stage o a tournament or sit and go. Generally I only limp or call with AQ or AJ, I drop my A10o and I go all in with AK, in spite of the pot are only 30 chips. There are good articles in the net about how play this cards in firsts hands. They mentioned the knowledge of the oponents, the previously hands played, the stacks, etc. But always it´s a moment of tension instead of enjoy... Sad

You should start folding AJo too. It isn´t a good hand, at least on early and middle positions. Of course depends at the kind of game yor play (Sitng or Mtt), but you should play, at the begining,
TT+, AQo+. You are not hurry, dont waste your blinds

however, poker is a crazy game because some players do not play like most and they can tangle you with any cards. I have seen players who pay with 2,3 or 2, 5 and they manage to beat AA. I will try if i have time, because i have other hobbies to see more strategy in internet. If i do not watch or read some strategy i will not be able to improve my game.

Calicul my friend, I'm agree with you that it's very important to work on the game improval, because poker has become very competitive during last several years, especially at medium and high stakes. There are almost no recreational players there Sad

CALICUL my friend I think that you are in the "middle truth". It´s right that are a lot of players that play any hand in any stage of the game and, with too often they win. But, as you know, in the middle and much more in the last stage before the bubble, the things change and the game become a push or fold questions. And in there are "any two" situation that be determinated by the position, stakes and pot. In this moment may be profit play an all in with 25o. You know yet this, I only bring this matter to make a thematic opening and remember my love to ICM trainer Blink

I played in tournaments with 3 k or 4 k players. In the game remained 40 or 50 players and my AK or AQ with raising 4 bet and the rival re raise 9 bets with A 4 or A5. After that my all in and they were paying and winning with 4 or 5 in turn or river. This term of a push or fold did not exist. They play like savages and have luck. Sad

I can say for myself I'm not looking at any poker strategy, maybe I should look, maybe I'm a weak poker player but I regularly take money at tournaments a few days ago I ended up at 5 places on a free roll tournament at 888 and got $ 60 so I can say that I'm happy with my poker game Smile

May be you are a "natural" pro poker´s player!
If your profits or better your ROI -Return On Investment-, when you was played 10K S&G or more are up to 25%, you don´t need any study. You could invest all your time to play and don´t need to read or analize your game. It´s a very rare condition and it´s admirable (and enviable!). You are in the God level and you belong to the 0,01 % of the poker´s players that can do it.
The rest of the mortal humans been we have to read, study, look videos, analize our game, and then we could equally have downswings.
Oh vaci38 how many headaches are you avoiding! Worship

after winning 150 dollars in a tournament for 1,000,000 at Patipoker, I started a good streak of winnings .... I usually play in the sitngo and $ 150 gave me a reserve for losing streaks .... there is a possibility to raise the bet and win back the losses .... in the end with 150, I now won 500 dollars

Congratulations pajalnick! Amazing achievement. It's great that you have managed to turn your $150 dollars won in the PP tournament into a much bigger sum. Hope that you will continue to increase your bankroll! Dollar Dollar
