There are more mathematicians who make money from poker. Moneymaker is one of them. When you are good at mathematics and you learn the Texas Holdem strategy correctly, you will win but for us is too late to learn math. I'm happy with less money, not with millions because i'm realistic. Millions is only a dream for us.

The variance could save us in a tournament with a lot of mathematicians! We could be losers in the long term but for a couple of tourneys...who knows! I won $ 650 in a PartyPoker tournament of 250k the last summer, with a ticket that the room gave me as a prize for a random game. By the way, millions bring too many problems, it could become in a nightmare

Good for you my friend. 650 dollars is 3 months and one week for work with minimum wage on economy in your country. Good money with a free ticket, a gift from Party Poker. Millions do not bring a lot of trouble if you are a smart men. You must not go out in evidence, that the world can see that you have money or you move to another place or country. it's strange that you say that, my friend CALICUL. You trust in the luck and you look for it constantly. So, in your heart, you have the dream that wins this million is possible. It´s only a matter that who and when. So, why we couldn´t win this million in a while? If I could get this prize playing worst than I play today, why I couldn´t win a big one?

It is not strange what i think about this. I do not think it's possible to win this amount with poker online. I do not trust in people at the buttons... and live i do not play. My confidence is not great in this. I do not dream anymore how i dreamed 8 years ago. I have seen many strange things in these years... I'm realistic. I dream to earning money for a few hundred dollars per months or a few k per year and to win in a tournament 20 k or 30 k with 888poker is unreal because has big tournaments very rare.

Here I agree with you about the major tournaments for 888poker is not very often ... but for example today there will be a major tournament of 1,000,000 dollars ... and I participate there .... of course There will be mostly strong players playing and it will be quite difficult to win .... but I will try

I will not play in this tournament because i did not qualify for him. I wanted to play satellites but i forgot and two days ago i remembered. Maybe another time. I lost a chance to win few huindred dollars or 10-20 k. of course if i had good luck and a good cards to make a good tourney.

Well, I did it. I didn´t pay attention to the first steps of the promotion. I don´t like the "Mamushkas" tournament where you have to win a step to play another step, that could make possible to play the satellite...But a friend makes me understand that isn´t smart avoid to play a freeroll of $1000000. So, Saturday night I played a freebuy tournament for 50 seats to the $ 8,80 satellite. I won it with a rebuy of $ 0,25, and in Sunday I won agonically (after a bad beat that almost kill me) the satellite and one of the 500 setas. After two hours of satellite, when I saw that late register would finish in 280 minutes demoralize me! In the first minutes, with 15/30 blind, it dealt me QQ with afraid and nervous I go all in (MP1) with my +- 9800 chips. CO call with AA, and SB call with AK. The flop was QQ8o!! poor people, what a bad beat!...two Knock Out for me! Then I occasionally steal and resteal to keep my stack healty and in the 270 minute I fall with AK against AQ only $ 25...
As a result, you got 15 dollars of profit .... of course, this is a bit of your Lost time .... Of course, poker is not only a math but also a case ..... This one million dollars tournament has not been successful for total purchases or i'm wrong? I saw that there were 12,087 players and that means a total of 600 k dolllars. I do not know if there was rebuy and add ons. I could not see because this tournament did not exist in lobby of 888 for my country. The player who won the tournament took only 64 k not 10% percent or 15-17%.

pajalnick, my big, big profit (not less than it) was $ 24,75 ($ 25 - $ 0,25) almost a fortune for me. And CALICUL, you have to make a summary with all the re buys that were made. In the last time of my participation, there were 2500 re buy. I told in another thread that a player in my table made 5 of them!!
This is certainly not very correct .... it turns out that a player who has more money has more chances to win ... And this is wrong .... I don’t like rebuy tournaments at all ..... I play them very rarely .. .. but this time I had to play because the entrance to the tournament was free for me .... If it were not for the re-buy, there could have been a completely different game

Rebuys are good in many tournaments. In others tournaments these rebuys are not good too much. I mentioned that: i could not see this tournament a lobby. I did not know if they were but now you have specified that. If there were addons is ok for 888. Anyway, the award-winning format was better. Good job for 888poker.
Perhaps you are right .... but Personally, I don’t like tournaments with rebuys .... It seems to me that there should be equal opportunities in tournaments .... And if you initially have more money you can afford to make a few additions .. .. it automatically improves your position

Yes, I think like you pajalnick, and a bit of the matter that CALICUL said. Is not fair that in some tournament you could be crushed in a bad beat for someone who makes five re buys of $ 55. This player may be a gambler that used to play in the roulette or slots and he never could compensate his bets. But, little rebuys by a short period, like Big Fish, could be good!

There in the online industry are kind and kind of games and not all are the same. Just as the blinds are different and start from 2 minutes and they reach up to 30 minutes or maybe more. Same with rebuys and add-ons. It does not matter if someone does more rebuys or not, but it matters the rule of every game. I think is fair. Sometime you invest more to win in front of the opponents who did not many rebuys.

Ohhh...you are one of that villains, now I know my enemy!!! Really, that it is and if I want any different way of play I could spend some money and look for something that I like (never). The freeroll´s players have fewer options day by day. I can see a horizon where the freerolls will disappear...and maybe my playing too! The recreational poker is being improved in a rush, so the poker´s room haven´t to makes this kind of promotions

Yesterday i played a satellite with rebuys and add-ons and after the rebuy ends, there were 57 players with 20 places paid. 27 of them made add-ons ( 3 maximum ) but not all players with 3. Some players with 1 or 2. I did 3 and i won a seat on the next satellite for a few days. Rebuys and add-ons is very good when you are a big player or to qualify for the next satellit or main tournament.

The matter is that you are a rich man! Seriously, that things (rebuys) have a limit. I saw players that make the number of rebuys that could buy his ticket directly, in the tournament with unlimited of them. This has no sense. Or making rebuys and add-on that they are bound to make the final table to recover his invest...and you can see that he doesn´t make it!!
The problem is that we can not win these millions. Is too hard online.
of course if i had good luck and a good cards to make a good tourney.
