This is a good plan, there are many retirees lurking around here who are on their game every day. But $500 is a lot to loose in an afternoon 2 microstake players like us so I would learn and learn and just learn some more about the game first if I were you.

Yes bowie1984, this is my plann...but I don´t will be lurking for there, I will be playing in my own table full of chips and chics! I began in play chips, and readed something. Then I began to played freeroll, read more and download an ICM trainer. Now I´m beginig to play microstage S6G, and continue reading. The capital theme of poker it´s hard for me. ICM theory, Equity, EV+...but I continue reading...and wining sometimes!

Of course, the bigger the prize, the greater the excitement, but it may also require greater risks, such as investing more money. As I telled in another thread...I abandoned my career! (don´t cry please...) I realized that I have to learn more poker´s playing. I didn´t feel good with my way. In a lot of situations I didn´t know what I have to do. It´s not the same make a minbet for trap the oponent, or a bet for value...and I was confuse with a lot of thing. So I begin to look for schools and books, and I think that I will take a few weeks (or month) for study and make me sure...and continue with my loved freerolls of course!

maragatero my friend which is the retirement age in Argentina? I see you have abandoned your career to learn more poker and at this age i think you should stop working or maybe you have to wait until 65 years. I hope it's not like in Sweden ( i read somewhere ) until 67 years.

For now, the retirement age is 65 years, so I have two years to begin to make money All is relative...I think the study time have no ends if you keep your interest for the stuff you like to know. At the last day of the real life (Iwait it) you want to be better, only the matter change. Until a few months ago, my favorite matter was the urban planning, and I getted all the course that I could take online: Lincoln Institute, BID, etc. But in this stage of my country, with this neoliberal goverment, is not conducive to thinking about a better future...So, for now, my plan is the poker´s study..the one that does not adapt disappears!!!

Maragatero I hope you will be able to learn this poker game very well because a lot of ambition needed here. Strategy is very important in this game. I have read a little about the strategy and that bothers me to make more money. I wish you a lot of success in the future and earn nice money.

Thanks for your good wishes CALICUL good friend! I started to read all the articles and tips from the schooll´s pages and I have downloaded a few of books knowed (Harrington in spanish, for example). Now I learned that I was very tigh in the medium stage, and that discoverment -when I really will use it- could make my game more profitable. And that is two weeks results! I´m entusiastic!
